Hello there my Hiveans amigos! _ glad to see you guys again on Black and White Community...

On this beautiful day, for the monomad challenge, I would like to share to you guys about something new in my Black and White photography. It's about a traditional craft or local product of West Borneo named "Tikar" or in English means Mat.

The basic material used in the manufacture of this traditional mat is Ronsa plant, which is a plant that has a relatively long stem that ranges from 1 to 2 meters and has a hollow texture.

Before use, the ronsa plant that has been taken from the forest, must be dried in the sun to dry, and kept straight so that it is easy to weave.

The process of making this traditional mat really only uses hand skills, without using any tools at all, but look at the results, how neat and nice this mat is. _

This mat is a cultural heritage of the Borneo Dayak tribe that has existed for hundreds of years, and has been passed down from generation to generation to this day. And this mat is commonly used by local people as a seat or as a base for drying rice... _
