There are other plants that would love to see you bleed to death. Slash the fingers, pieces your feed and leave scars on the legs if you are dumb not careful enough to go out in shorts instead of armor.
Yes... this is lovely Onopordum illyricum or a Thistle to make it easier. It can be found almost everywhere, where land is not maintained. A mean weed that will show very pretty purple flowers and is loved by insects.
But just look at those thorns!
They are sharp. And big.
And will do damage if they want to.
The leaves are quite nice looking though despite being nasty. Very pale in colour and covered with a thin layer of some tiny hair.. a bit like cotton.
The flowers (this is still a bud though) are not any less mean.
