Every cat has a story

Growing up in the countryside we always had cats. Some of them showed up out of nowhere to stay and be our little furry companions. Some were paying just a short visit.

This a short story of those two siblings and their mom.

Their mom wasn't our cat at first. My aunt (that lives right across the garden fence) took her in from someone that knows someone that had kittens. One day a cute black and white kitty showed up and started to hang out with our two cats. Only later we found out it was aunts cat. She took her back home and the little thing showed up at our place again few days after.

The moving game last for a few weeks until we decided she can stay if she really wants to (and my aunt had to go look for another kitty). She was lovely, a little spooked, but very friendly and always around. We called her Kopytko, which means a Hoof in Polish since she was mostly black and had those cute little white socks.

Following year she had kittens - the two you see on the photos. Also black and white ones. Naughty little devils :) It was so much fun watching the play all around, pull mums tail and jump on her.
But as they grew up, Kopytko decided to change houses again and left the two behind. She was popping in from time to time as if she was checking on them though :)

They stayed with us for about 2 years and then went to find new favourite hoomans. I guess the moving was in their blood.
We could see one few houses down the road and from time to time was visiting us (or our cats to hang out with) :)

Yu know what they say about cats: we don't choose them - they choose us. And this is exactly how it was working in our house. All kinds of cats were showing up at our door. They all got fed and allowed to stay if they wanted to, but they were also free to go if that was their wish. Some of them stayed with us for many years. Some were showing up few times a year only to disappear again.

Some of them are greatly missed.

This is the mom. One of the kiddos even inherited the little mustache :)
