DSC_45.jpg

These photos were taken in Angkor, the ancient capital of the Khemers in Cambodia. Angkor was once the capital of this kingdom which lasted for almost 600 years. When it was left around the 13th century the jungle took over. It was rediscovered by a Frenchman, Henri Mohout. In 1864 he published his diary which including drawings. Many of the temples are overgrown with trees. When looking at them, it sometimes look like the trees are supporting the buildings.
