If you're ever driving on the 101 in northern Oregon and have a minute to spare, stop in Cannon Beach and go see Haystack Rock. It's an old sea stack and National Wildlife Refuge that's even been in a few movies (Goonies, 1941, Kindergarten Cop, etc). At low tide you can even walk up to but climbing on it is prohibited (that whole wildlife refuge thingy).
I stayed just up the road in Seaside but kept coming back to Haystack to shoot some more. Tillamook Head and Ecola State Park are between the two but if you're up for an 8 mile hike you can walk from one to the other.
