Deosai - Northern Pakistan - Shepherds making butter

This is my entry for #monomad challenge by @monochromes

Deosai Park, Gilgit-Baltistan region, northern Pakistan.

We visited some shepherds houses, at the entrance of the park, located at an altitude over than 4000 meters high.
These shepherds were using some old techniques to make butter.

They use the skin of some animal (it seems a pig, but in Pakistan there isn't pig), filling it with milk and shaking it for some hours (around six or eight hour).
You can see also a coca-cola plug on a leg: When pressure inside the skin bag gets down, they blow through it to expand the 'bag'.
Here they were at work:

Houses are a little messy and dirt, but I like to visit real people working in their natural environment, to keep on old traditional work method, something like an art.

Around the houses a layer of mud and manure, and some small river from where they take water.

I have taste chai (tea with locale milk) after the visit: taste was very good, bit I had a stomachache after, maybe for some batteries unknown by my intestinal flora. It is the price to watch and touch authentic things around the world!

August 2022, the day just before a devastating monsoon...
I will tell you about it in another post! Stay tuned.
