Hello Everyone,
This bee has a large body and almost the entire body is black and yellow striped. This bee is very wild but tame when at work. Usually , these bees make holes in wood for shelter and also as a parent nursery . Sometimes the wooden holes also serve to store pollen from flowers.

In the morning wood bees are busy looking for flower nectar. This bee does not like to eat wood but only makes a hole as a nest. The wood bee does not sting but when it gets attacked the bee will be aggressive and can make resistance to anyone. We need to be careful when we are close to the bee's territory.

To get this wood bee is very easy, we can look in the flower garden or on a dead tree. Flower nectar is a food source for insects. Two days ago, I found this bee at work collecting flower nectar. I think the bee is a male.

Carpenter bees are species in the genus Xylocopa of the subfamily Xylocopinae. The genus includes some 500 bees in 31 subgenera. wikipedia.org .
