Hello to everyone
I went to a very nice jazz concert last Saturday for the 'World Jazz Day' event. The concert held in Babylon, Istanbul was by Korhan Futacı. He has been an important figure on the world jazz scene for 20 years. In his solo project, in which he boldly uses psychedelic rock, jazz and local melodies, Korhan Futacı describes the unique chaos of Istanbul with harsh and dark themes, accompanied by Burak Irmak on key instruments, Feryin Kaya and Berkan Tilavel on bass guitar. on drums, Barış Ertürk on baritone saxophone, on trumpet. Bulut Gülen on trombone, Kerem Sefil on percussion and Senem Demircioğlu on backing vocals to Barış Doğukan Yazıcı.
The energy of the audience was excellent. I even saw Teoman, one of the most popular musicians in Turkey, with his drink in the audience.
