Early in the morning, the Aoos Springs Lake was very quiet. I stood on the shore and watched the fog gradually dissipate over the lake. I saw the pelican the same moment he saw me. The pelican started to take off, but I managed to take a couple of pictures before it disappeared into the fog. Then, it was quiet again.
