I met this extraordinary, talkative and cheerful girl last Saturday, named Lena. I have met two Lenas in my life and it seems that joy comes with that name. We will have to consult an oracle to see if to be contagious with so much smile you have to be called that way.
We went to the stairs of an old warehouse in Old Havana and one of my colleagues held the flash from above while she and I agreed on the poses and attitudes. Light without a modifier has its charm, after all. Black and white adds drama. I really like this sequence!
Conocí a esta extraordinaria, conversadora y alegre muchacha el sábado pasado, llamada Lena. He conocido dos Lenas en mi vida y parece que la alegría viene con ese nombre. Habrá que consultar algún oráculo a ver si para ser contagiosa de tanta sonrisa hay que llamarse así.
Nos fuimos a la escalera de un antiguo almacén de la Habana Vieja y unos de mis colegas sostenía el flash desde arriba mientras ella y yo acordábamos las poses y las actitudes. La luz sin modificador tiene su encanto, después de todo. El blanco y negro aporta drama. Me gusta mucho esta secuencia!
