Hello everyone,
I always help my mom with dinner. I can really help with vegetable fries and salads. I can't help when my mother cooks meat. Today my mother cooks chicken in a Myanmar style. I was able to help cook chicken today. My mother is very good at cooking. My father, my younger brother and I like everything she cooks. So, I learned from her. The taste of this chicken curry is a little sweet. Children in Myanmar also love this dish. In the past, when I was teaching in a dormitory, I noticed that the children were very like of this dish. As a kid, I used to love this dish. I still like it.
The Myanmar style chicken curry I cooked with my mother today does not need a lot of ingredients. It is also easy to cook. Let me first tell you about the ingredients.
Ingredients;
- Chicken
- A little salt
- Masala powder
- Cooking oil
- Chili powder
- soy sauce
- turmeric powder
- Onion, garlic and ginger
First, I thoroughly washed the chicken with water. Then I soaked the chicken in salted water for a while.
The saline is then removed. I mixed the chicken with a pinch of salt and a little turmeric powder.
I mashed garlic, onion and ginger. If you want a spicy taste, you should mix mashed peppers.
Then I put oil in a pan and heated it. Before the oil was hot, I added some chili powder to it. You do not need to add a lot of chili powder. Then
I put the puffed garlic and onion ginger in it and fried it.
When the onion and ginger smelled good, I added the chicken. Then I stir everything for 5 minutes.
Then I added a little bit of black liquid as shown in the picture. It is called “Kyar Nyo” in Myanmar. It is made from sugarcane for use in cooking. I do not know what to call it in English. I added it and stirred it again.
Then I put some turmeric powder and water in it and covered it.
Once the meat is cooked through and the water is drained, you have a delicious chicken dish. This chicken curry is very easy to cook. I really like this Burmese style chicken curry because it is easy to cook and delicious. This dish is easily available in almost every restaurant in Myanmar. I think Asian chicken recipes are a bit similar
