A Nice and Relaxing Nature Travel at Calangahan, Lugait Misamis Oriental

We all love to wander in beautiful and fresh places. Brings happiness and peace to ourselves. What I will share for tonight is that I went to One of the beautiful places that people go to and it is Barangay Calangahan located in the city of Lugait, Misamis Oriental. This is the 7th Barangay in that city and the main occupation of the people who live here is fishing. At first, only stones and trees could be seen here, but in recent times, the area has been developed by the owner of the land here. The first one I went to was this new road. Last year, this road was made so that vehicles that want to use a shortcut can pass easily and smoothly. Here in this area is the new beach resort that is still under construction, but it can now be bathed and visited by people who want to see the beauty of the place.

This is the plant we call Romblon. A type of plant that can be used as a mat or roof a house. This leaf is strong especially when it is brown in color. Woven and hung to dry and be used as sleeping place for people. This plant is often found in remote areas such as mountainous areas, under large trees and so on.

There are different types of mushrooms that can be found and grow here like this. We call it the Elephant Ear mushroom and it possesses beautiful colors and shapes of its leaves. It is good for decorating the inside of the house, especially on the walls, it is put with a polish like varnish, spread out in the sun and then used. It grows on cold and dead trees and sometimes on large rocks.

I also noticed this place of mine where there are trees to be seen and in my opinion it looks like a house was built before and then demolished. It is very dangerous to walk on it because of the rusty nails. It just left a dirty environment such as garbage and other unusable things. But after two days, this place has been cleaned so that it will not be dangerous to people.

I am a compassionate person to all animals so when I saw this dog standing in an abandoned Waiting shed I immediately felt sorry for him. He was looking at me and he seemed to be getting weak so what I did was I gave him something to eat. I don't know who the owner of this dog is.

The first place I went to was also close to the beach so you could see the vast ocean from here. It is good to take pictures here in this place. There are many people who want to go to this area and the new resort of Barangay Calangahan is located in the lower part of this area. You can see the white color in the water and it is called water current. Fishermen also come here because many fish can be seen and caught here.

I also noticed these boats placed on rocky places. Residents will go out again to catch fish. When the weather is bad, they tie it and put it in high places so that it will not be swept away and destroyed by big waves.
