Scientists in a TeaLab 👩‍🔬💉

Hello everyone 👧.

Another story of my outing with the two ladies (my Mum and my Sister). This time we went for Yamcha (in Cantonese means having a tea or drink outside) at a so-called laboratory nearby my house.

The so-called laboratory or a laboratory concept's cafe, TeaLab was located at 88 Marketplace, Kota Kinabalu, Sabah. The uniqueness of this cafe was we need to make our own drink in an experimental method inside the shop.

For first-timer like us, we had to refer the guides stated on the wall in making our own tea. All the essential ingredients for making the tea were prepared in lab equipments such as syringe, test tube, flask, and Petri dish. By any chances we don't have any idea in making what flavour of drinks, there's a menu's booklet on the table to refer.

After done selecting our ingredients, we need to pay at the counter first before starting to do experiments. You can directly order the drink from the menu at the counter if you don't want to do the making tea experiment. The cafe also serve finger snacks such as potato fries, nuggets, fried chicken and others. However, we don't need to do experiments on preparing the food 🤣.

Lab's coats were available for the customers to have an experience as scientist. Scientist in using the lab equipments in making own tea. As for us, we did not use the lab's coat as my Mum feel shy to wearing it.

Let's start the experiment

Additional lab equipments such as beaker, glass rod, tong, and ice in a (maybe) stainless steel big cup were given to us from the waitress after we made our payment. We just select the ingredients that we like without referring to the menu booklets.

The Result

Milk Tea + Peach Syrup + 1/3 of Brown Sugar from syringe + Mango Boba Boom

Milk Tea + Matcha Powder + 1/3 of Brown Sugar from syringe + Plain Crystal Jelly

Milk Tea + Chocolate Powder + 1/3 of Brown Sugar from syringe + Brulee

Our experiments for making our own tea were successful 🎉. Just we need some improvement in excluding the brown sugar for our next visit to TeaLab. The base milk tea and the syrup were already sweet that we don't need additional sugar for our mixture of milk tea.

We enjoyed having lab experiences here and would like to visit TeaLab again for making a different type of experiment.

That's all. Thanks for reading my post 😁.
