Hello everyoneπ§.
I π§ had my date with @butwo π¦ during the last labor day of the public holiday. We plan to go shopping mall π¬ποΈ as our destination for dating but we cancel it. We checked on social media that the shopping malls in the town were too crowded with people πͺ for the last minutes of Hari Raya shopping. Therefore, we just went to Tanjung Aru Beach at Kota Kinabalu, Sabah for our dates β€οΈπ«ποΈ.
Below is the map for Tanjung Aru Beach. I'm going to tell our adventure and story by area 1οΈβ£2οΈβ£3οΈβ£4οΈβ£.
Area 1
After done having our lovely lunch π½οΈ at Funky Farm food court around 2.30 pm, we directly when to Tanjung Aru Beach 3 by car ποΈπ. This location is very significant for us. When we still started getting to know each other a few years ago, this is the place we always went to for dates. From the picture above, we always park our car under that tree. This location was also one of the local tourist attractions for people to enjoy the ride of ATV Buggy Carπ.
Unfortunately, Tanjung Aru Beach 3 is not accessible now β and has been sold to a private company by our state government. There got a house guard with a security guard guarding there too. We have to change our dating location to another beach area.
Area 2
In this beach area, there are a limited of car parking spots π ΏοΈ but we managed to get it in one go. This beach area is just beside the Tanjung Aru Shangri La Beach Resort and by referring the picture above, that's beach zone belong to the resort π¨.
This beach area is well known for public having picnics π or family events hereπͺ. Many picnic huts were provided there and all were occupied as that day was a public holiday.
It was very nice weather around 3.00 pm that we did not need an umbrella β±οΈto avoid sunburn π. We did not bring any extra clothes π to change for swimming π. We just went to the seaside to feel the seawater with our legs and look at the mini crab π¦ moving or escaping from us to catch them.
We went to the lifeguard station to have a look π in the same time searching for any available resting hut for us to rest.
@butwo found a resting spot πΊ just beside the lifeguard station. I said to him we were not allowed to sit there as it belong to the lifeguard facility. @butwo just ensure me that no warning sign β οΈ said the public cannot sit at that resting spot. So, with doubt π, I just rest there.
One of the on-duty lifeguards was on his motorcycle πββοΈπ΅ and he did not chase me out for resting on their resting spot. So, I happily π rest in their resting spot by looking at the beach view ποΈ.
As below picture, these are not warning signs but poems in the Malay language.
There is a volleyball net without people playing volleyball π at that time and a hammock with a wooden stool crafted from a tree π³ around the lifeguard's resting spot.
While waiting the time passed until 4.30 pm, I just surfed social media and play the rising star game on my mobile phone π±.
As for @butwo, he busies himself fixing the MySejahtera bar code scan sign on the tree. I inform him to ignore that sign as our country, Malaysia had already abolished the law on scanning the MySejahtera bar code when entering public premises started from 01.05.2022 onward. However, he still does it until he is satisfied with what he doing π .
Area 3
The street food stalls ππ½πΉ open at 4.00 pm daily in this beach area. We buy food and drinks before entering Prince Phillip Park ποΈ.
Area 4
The Prince Philip Park is just beside the street food stalls area. We when inside there strolling around and searching for a resting spot for us to enjoy the food and drinks we bought just now.
This public park was once a beautiful place for tourist attractions but now this place was not well maintained by the government due to the plan to privatize this park for development many years ago. As a result of it, many of the infrastructure and decorations were in ruin π.
Other facilities such as public toilets π», playground ππββοΈ, parking area π ΏοΈ, and resting hut πΊ are still available in the park for the public to enjoy.
We finally found a spot to rest. Although not a resting hut but is still ok for us to sit on the floor stair.
The place where we have our rest previously was a garden full of flowers as above. Currently, only left these tiny flowers πΈ as below.
We enjoy our food with the beverage and chat here until the time to view the sunset at the beach area π«.
Meanwhile, we saw some people bring their dogs ππ© for strolling here. Next time I will bring my dog, Uku Chan plays at the park and the beach too.
Sunset
It is almost sunset time π, we move to the beach area. While on the way to the beach area we found small mangosteen from this tree. This small mangosteen is usually found in a forest and we are amazed π² that we found it in the park here.
We sit on an old tree branch at the Tanjung Aru Beach (which just in front of Prince Philip Park) to view the sunset.
While viewing the sunset, we saw a parent taking care of his child playing with the toy electronic car π on the beach. We also saw a young girl dancing πwith the ironman dancing toy but stopped after saw us looking at her π.
I have fun π€© taking pictures of my fingers catching the sun π .
This is the view of the sunset that the picture taken by using @butwo 's smarphone π·π±.
We end our dates at the beach at 6.15 pm and we directly back home together π‘π.
Thanks and hope you enjoy reading it.π€
