I am back again to continue my Moalboal Travel. To those who missed the previous part, you can check it here the Part 1 and the Part 2.
Today, I gonna share the Part 3 of my solo travel. This time is about my adventure with the turtles and sardines run. 🥰 This is the highlight of my travel at Moalboal. To see the turtles and sardines run is my purpose why I had my solo trip aside from meeting my fellow Hiver. 😀
Day 2
Panagsama Beach is a sanctuary of millions of sea creatures. It is a best place for diving and snorkeling in Moalboal. The main attraction at Panagsama beach are the turtles and the sardines run. I will be sharing right now my snorkelling adventures. It was enjoyable and fun. 😀
On my day 2, I wake up in the morning around 7am. I take a shower and had my breakfast. After eating breakfast, the hotel crew assisted me to my guide. Since, it was weekend the total fee to pay for the guide and snorkelling gear is Php 400.00 or $8. I also rent a GoPro for taking pictures and videos while snorkelling. The rent for GoPro cost Php 500.00 or $10. So, I rented the GoPro than bringing my phone which is not a water proof and I am afraid that my phone will be lost while I am on the sea.
My guide handed me the snorkelling gears and he assisted me in using and wearing properly the gears. The guide also wear his gears and we headed to the sea when we are ready. Before, we started snorkeling, he instructed me what to do that I have to keep holding the inflatable floater as he have the long rope connected to it that even he is deep down the sea I am safe. Because aside from being my guide he is my photographer as well. He is handling the GoPro. 😀 Of course, I have to take some picture before we swim.
I am grateful that I know how to swim as I have a guide who is assisting me. 😀 Actually, the sanctuary is not far from the seashore. In just few meters, the sanctuary can be seen. My guide assisted me first in seeing the turtles. 😀 Oh my! That was my first time seeing alive and closer turtles. ❤️
We are not allowed to touch the turtles. We only have to watch them and have pictures with them. There are lots of tourists that time that are snorkelling.
I am happy that my guide do have some videos as he go deeper trying to have good spots while I am enjoying watching the turtles. He prefer to have videos because it is blurry when he is taking pictures. I only screenshots some motions under the sea.
When, I am contented watching the turtles, I told my guide to go watching the sardines run. So, we headed where the sardines run located. It is not far from the area where the turtles are. But, we are heading slowly because of the heavy water current. Despite the struggle of swimming near the sardines run, my guide manage to bring me there even I can feel it was tiring for him. Even myself gets tired swimming and holding the inflatable floater.
When we successfully get near the sardines run, my guide told me that he will go deeper and when I saw him taking videos I have to look at the camera. 😀 It was really difficult for me doing such things especially that I am afraid losing breath because it's a struggle for me of using the snorkelling gears. 😁
I am so happy seeing the sardines run. It was indeed a millions of fish. ❤️ Despite all my struggles in snorkelling for the very first time, I am so happy and feel great about myself because I did it even I travel alone. 😁 I am truly grateful to my guide who assisted me well. ❤️ My Moalboal travel was such an amazing experience I had.
When I am also contented watching the sardines run, I told my guide to go the shore for us to have some rest. Before we go back to my hotel, I had some last poses. 😁
Then, we took off our gears and my guide bring me back to my hotel. I told the guide that I will just give my payment when I am done taking shower and had changed. I will also get the videos and pictures from the GoPro I rented.
When I am done, I headed to the shop where my guide is. I paid Php 900.00 or $18 for the snorkelling gears, guide fee and GoPro rent. I also added Php 100.00 or $2 for the tip for the guide who assisted me. All in all I paid Php 1,000.00 or $20 for my snorkelling adventures. ❤️ Then, the pictures and videos during my snorkelling was transferred to my phone.
It was really a fun and great weekend after all.
