The First Day Of School

I live in Bekasi. Bekasi is located in the east of Jakarta. After a year of study, my kids go to school on the first day. My son is my youngest child. He is now in grade 2 at primary school. In grade 1, he never got to school until he levelled up to grade 2. Today is the first day of school for my son.

He looked so happy today. He is 8 years old now. Everyday he studies at home, but today he attended a class. The government starts to open schools. However, the students should follow some rules. There are only 15 students in a classroom. The classroom usually has 30 students at capacity. The school time is only 2 hours. My kids attend the class 4 times in a month.

The meeting is too short, in my opinion, but it is better than having all my kids study at home all the time. Meeting with teachers will give encouragement to my kids in learning.

I hope the meetings in the offline classes will be longer in the near future. I am one of the people who do not believe in COVID as a deadly disease. I am a believer that covid is a common flu that does not need special treatment and medication.

Attending an offline class is better than learning at home. My wife should assist my three children every day. She has no experience in teaching. I often find her emotional. Assisting three kids in one time is stressful.

My son told me after finishing the class that he was very enthusiastic about attending the classroom. He wanted to go to school again. I said to him that he should go to school every day after the covid crisis ends. I took a notice that he did not understand what I explained about covid. After arriving home, he ate lunch and played with his friends. Yeah, every day he plays out with his friends without any health rules of covid-19.
