Indonesia is in the rainy season now. Rain is almost everyday. The long dry season has ended. Before the rain is something frightening. The sky looks dark. The clouds sweep the blue sky.
The interval between the dark situation and the rain is around 15 minutes. It is a sign for motorists to find a safe place to avoid getting wet or prepare rain coats.
This afternoon, I prefered to stop. I waited for the rain and I sit under a bus stop. After ten minutes the rain fell down heavily. While waiting for the rain, I took the cool moment in the dark because of the black clouds in the sky.
High voltages electric wires were like street lines in the sky. The tree added the dark situation to become more frightening.
The clouds were followed by thunder and lightning but I could not get the picture of them because the moment was too fast. In Indonesia, the rainy season started in November 2023. The high intensity of the rain will be predicted in January and February 2024.
The dry season took a long time this year. There are many areas in Indonesia that is lack of clean water. Some rice farmers also let their land unproductive because there is no water. Most rice farmings depend on the rain water. In Indonesa it is called "Sawah tadah hujan" or "rain-fed rice fields". In a year, there are three harvesting times. Rice will be harvested after four months.
