Happy Sunday Hivers!
Sometimes we failed to appreciate the simple things because of our fast paced life. How often we take a look to the sunset? Have you watched the colorful and radiant sky at sunset? Have you gazed the stars twinkling at night? Maybe some of us would answer yes but most likely many of us have failed to pay attention because of the hectic schedules and other priorities in life.
How often do you slow down your pace?
After the whole day tour around Siquijor Island, our driver/tour guide conveyed us to JJ's Resort where my friend and I will check-in. The moment we were done settling our room, my friend immediately checked the resort. She went to the beach area and as she returned to our room she brought a good news that truly overjoyed me.
This is how she told me "You like it there because it's a white sand beach and it has sandbar".
Because we were truly exhausted we were not certain if we could wake up early on the next day but fortunately we did.
We went to the beach as we done fixing ourselves. I immediately immersed my feet in the sea water as we arrived. While walking going to the sandbar I saw this beautiful sea star.
And after few steps, I have also found another sea star with different color and size. I was delighted as I saw different kinds of sea stars that day because it's been a long time that I have not seen them and that time the child-like in me has awakened again.
The palm trees that ligning up at the beach is an eye-catching view. It helps the beach to look more beautiful.
After few minutes of walking on the sandbar, I have already expected that high tide will come very soon because some parts of the sand bar has slowly disappeared.
Since the sandbar has not fully gone yet, I grabbed that opportunity to take more photographs of the white sand beach.
Different angles of the beach were taken photographs because each angles have shown different beauty.
The beach that time was tranquil and the sea water was placid.
Have you seen it?
As we have noticed that the sea water has slowly covered the entire sandbar, we gradually went back to the mainland because we were scared that our phone might get wet.
We were not worried to ourselves because we both know how to swim but we were worried to our phone.
Lying in the beach is also one of the things I am always looking forward. So while I was in the beach that time, I didn't allow the time to pass without doing such thing because it makes my soul happy. That's my friend who also loves lying in the beach.
While we were waiting for the high tide, I enjoyed taking photos and my friend enjoyed talking to the dog. The dog didn't leave to her side since we arrived at the beach.
As I wanted to capture photos from above, I went to the second floor of the resort's building and find a good angle to capture photos. I can't say that these are great photos but atleast it's better than my other photos I think.
The sand bar was almost gone as I went down.
Finally, I was able to lay down and enjoy the sand, the sun, and the sky. It was indeed a great morning for me. While we were waiting for the high tide, my friend suggested that we will have our breakfast first because she was already starving. So we got up and slowly picked up our things and left the beach.
After an hour, we were delighted as the sea water was already deep. We both know how to swim so after taking a lot of photos, we enjoyed swimming the rest of the morning.
Here's one of my favorite photos while in Siquijor.
We were lucky because the time we went there was not crowded. It's like we own the place.
Sometimes all we need is to slow down our pace, observe the simple things around us and relax. We don't need to stressed ourselves from the things or events that are beyond to our control. Just take a deep breath and enjoy because everything in this world is just temporary.
Thank you for reading and see you on my next blog. Cheers!
