The Most Comfortable Comfort Room Ever

comfortroom.png

A comfort room must be comfortable but oftentimes, especially here in the Philippines, this isn't the case. I have been to many buildings, corporate ones, most of them provide the basics but not the most comfortable, no tissue paper, broken air dryer, broken flush button, and so on. These things, we as Filipinos would just brush off and continue with our day but why would we settle for that? We can do better.

However, when my husband and I were on our way back to the province after our saliva collection in Cebu for COVID-19 test, we stopped over at a Shell Gas Station in Minglanilla to get some gas and I went to their comfort room to pee.

There are two restrooms and they are labeled for men and women. I went for the women's of course. I noticed some of the workers' things are also hanging in there.

Surprise surprise! I somehow forgot that I was supposed to pee because I was caught by how beautifully designed this comfort room is! I just have to share with you the pictures so you'd know why I said that.

Filipino inspired! Those shells and the bamboo torch! Those bring back memories when we use them in walking to our neighbors in the mountain area. We have to put gas inside the bottle and lit it up. We got to hold into the bamboo and make sure not to flip it!

There's a book stand too! Some figurines and look at that bag made of rattan, I am not sure though if its really rattan but I remember using an identical bag back in gradeschool!

Do you also read prints and signs while sitting on the throne? Yes I do. I took a photo. Opps, yes I use my phone while peeing. Sorry for that! I did sanitize it after.

Some marketing strategies too inside the comfort room.

Are you into shells? Why not make some of these and place in your comfort room too?
I bought something like this in Boracay before and I gave it to my mother. I wonder if she had used it for beautifying their room.

More of these shells and some funny but sad-looking monkey made of coconut shell. Yup, it's wearing a hat.

The trashbin is not full. I guess there's really someone assigned to make sure its always clean!

We have to take photos of the paintings. I missed checking who's the artists. These are real paintings by the way. And the paper in between them is an attendance sheet of the cleaner.

Fashion books and some native basket too, it doesn't contain anything though.

Super love this art painting. It shows a mother and her son selling fish on a native container. Lovely!

I am so in love with this comfort room. I guess it was the longest pee break that I took. If you are in Cebu and want to also do your thing here, stop by Shell Gas Station in Minglanilla. Here's the map:
