Yup, you read it right. We, the Hive Cebu Bloggers were able to bag collaboration with not one but two food concepts. In the blogging world, being asked for collaboration is a big deal. It only goes to show that your work is being recognized and potential clients and business partners could arise from that. We, Hive Cebu Bloggers are beyond grateful to be asked by a known Chef in Cebu to feature her food concepts which are located in Cebu's famous food market, Sugbo Mercado.
Sugbo Mercado features a lot of up-and-coming food entrepreneurs and established names in the food industry. Chef Kristel is one of those known names in the world of foodies. She was able to create two food concepts namely Let's Roll Sushi Bake and L.A. Taco Truck.
As the founder, @purepinay organized the bloggers who will be able to attend the food tasting with Chef Kristel. After receiving messages such as "I'm in" and "I can't", we pushed through the food tasting with these members. In attendance were @sassycebuana, @explorewithsasha, @gerel, @itsmiessyonpeakd, @queenmeiko22, and yours truly.
When the bloggers arrive, Chef Kristel was almost done preparing all the dishes and displayed the food in one of the many tables in Sugbo Mercado. She got busy personally preparing the dishes for us. After taking tons of photos, she huddled the group and discuss the products one by one.
It was an interactive discussion because the bloggers were able to ask some questions which Chef Kristel was happy to answer and discuss further while we devour her delicious creations.
Just a little background about her brands, for the Let's Roll Sushi Bake it was created during the midst of the pandemic. Chef Kristel initially posted in a private community that she's selling Baked Sushi and it was well-received by a lot of people. She then sold it publicly due to the demand of the people. Few weeks after, the Let's Roll Sushi Bake in Sugbo Mercado was put up!
In the case of L.A. Taco Truck, Chef Kristel created this concept because of her and her husband's love for Mexican food specifically tacos! Her mother-in-law was always up to taco nights. They used to live in Southern California and they got inspired with the food truck scene then they combined the taco and food truck concepts in one.
The HCBC is thrilled to have this kind of opportunity because it only proves that we can be more than what we are here on Hive. With these projects, collaborations, business deals we will be able to give Hive more exposure to the world and somehow make it known to others.
