Farm animal feeding at Chickiton Rabbiton

Lucky to have gotten to interact with these pullets and chicks in Chickiton Rabbiton. This bring back my childhood memories. I used to fed the chickens early in the morning because I grew up on farm. I could proudly say we are responsible even at our young age, I remember how I enjoyed watching them as they were eating and sometimes I had chances seeing them fighting over the food, lol. Waking up early to feed the animals, water the vegetables, cleaning and gardening are daily tasks that take place everyday. Growing up in that place is a unique experience.

While most kids grow up playing with toy animals and made-of-plastic-farmhouses, the lucky few are born into the real thing. I'm lucky enough to grow up on farm. Farming is second nature to me.

Unfortunately, things have changed, a lot and it started when I together with my siblings had to move to a place closer to university and got stuck in the city since great job opportunities are a lot better compared to country.

We always miss our country home, good timing because my sister was also off from work so I invited her to come along with me to visit a farm house that that may somehow ease our longing of going home in our farm house, our hearts belong there, the place, the people, the beautiful sceneries, the fresh air and fresh food to mention a few. We are hoping that internet will make it this year in our place as we are working as ESL teacher online. Internet is the main reason we are stuck in the city.

To her big surprised! She love the place, the farm animals because she is an animal lover, she love the farm garden as well; the herbs, flowers and veggies.

I was surprised also to see that turkey can get along with the rest of the chickens, I thought they are dominant and violent. That was something new to me because we didn't have turkey in our farm. In Rabbiton, they have different breed of chickens and what really amazes me was that they can all get along with each other. Yeah, except that one goose acting weird and damn curious all the time. Maybe he is born that way.

Did you know that easter eggs exist in real life?
The Easter egger is a bird that can lay a wide variety of egg colors, including blue. These lovable chickens were created when people started breed-crossing araucan or ameraucan with other breeds that led to multi-colored eggs and an adorable looking birds!
How to identify the bird? Check the photos I posted, they are the ones that has ear tufts, feathers that grow below the ears and they are a little smaller than normal chicken size.

Easter eggs

Do you grow some chickens? They are actually selling eggs, 1 tray for P500 only and you'll get all variety of chicken's eggs. That' cheap way to raise variety of chicken as well. We could have bought eggs but we were just on motorbike and that's not the safest way to keep them each in one piece. We are coming back soon because we are excited to add another chicken breed on our farm. By the way, it is only suitable to raise chickens if you live in a country so you don't disturb your neighbors. Same with other animals, especially if they make unnecessary noise.
That's all folks. Thanks for reading my post.
Have a nice day ever!
