Yesterday was my mother's "8th Years Death Anniversary". So last May 2, 2023 my husband and I went to the church to schedule a mass for my mother's soul. And the schedule that I choose is a 6AM mass. And then after that we went to the market to bought some ingredients for the menu that we were going to served on the said day.
And so early in the morning yesterday we attended the 6AM mass. Then again we went to the market to bought some meat and other ingredients. I also bought some flowers. After that we went home directly because it's raining. I take off on the plastic cellophane what we bought on the market.
After I take it off, I let my husband do the rest of the cooking. I just assist him, on what he needs. While me busy arranging the flowers on a container and then I split it into half, the other half was for my father and the other for my mother.
As I finished it, I helped my husband in cooking. He cooked menudo and pancit while me cooked pork liver and lumpiang shanghai. This is all the menu that we had. It's just so little but were thankful for all the graces that God has given to us. Since we heloed each other in cooking, we finished it early.
Then we went to my husband's home. We brought some food that we cooked. Then we credit a tuba and softdrinks, because I forgot to brought some cash. And I will pay it when we visit there again. Then we went back home right away, because we still have visitors coming.
Then as we got home, a little later my cousin with his family arrived. We let them eat and before that we blessed first the food. Then have a good lunch.
And in the afternoon as my sister got home from work, we both went to the cemetery to light a candle for my mother soul. She is in Bohol so I just light it at the cemetery chapel. The rain still pours so we didn't got the chance to visit our father. Maybe today we will go there and give the flower that I prepared.
Then we went home after. It's a tiring day but it's okay because it's for my mother. Honestly it's been so long since she left us, but there are times specifically when I am alone, I'm still crying and longing and missing for her presence actually both my mama and papa. It's really hard to face this cruel world without a parents on your side. You have no one to talk about that only your mother or father can understand. So to all of you my dear hivers be grateful if you still have your parents because what ever happens to you there is still this 2 persons who will never leaved you no matter what if you have a small or big problem. Again be thankful to them always.
