A mi me gusta cocinar pero no lo veo como una pasión, así que la razón por la que considero importante esta película en mi vida es porque se puede fácilmente aplicar a otras pasiones, esta película está basada en dos historias reales, que ocurren en tiempos diferentes pero tienen un importante hilo que las une, narra la historia desde el tiempo presente de Julie, pero en el transcurso nos muestra también la historia de Julia en el pasado. Julie es una joven mujer que vive con su esposo en un pequeño apartamento, ella está agobiada de su trabajo respondiendo teléfonos, ella es admiradora de la Chef Julia Child, quien es la autora del libro El arte de la cocina francesa y también conductora programa de cocina en la televisión de los años 60. Julie alentada por su esposo decide proponerse un reto personal, ella hará todas las recetas del libro de Julia Child que son 524 y publicará a diario en su blog por un año, es decir que habrá días que regresará del trabajo y hará hasta dos recetas que debe escribir en su blog, ¿impresionante verdad? La primera razón por la que me impactó la película es la similitud que tiene Julie conmigo en mi pasión por el arte y también la escritura como algo que se enlaza, yo no hago arte culinario pero hago arte en crochet con la misma pasión, Julie en un principio estaba consciente de que no podía perder su trabajo porque no podría vivir de escribir en su blog, pero aun así lo intenta, decide volcar toda su energía en hacer la recetas y escribir, aunque al principio no la leyera casi nadie, poco a poco se fue haciendo de un público lector, hubo momentos en que se sintió sola, pensó que nada de lo que hacía tenia alguna relevancia, muchas veces ella se preguntaba que habría hecho Julia Child en su caso, su estrés estaba muy fuerte y se deprimía bastante, debo decir que me sentí completamente identificada con ella, cuando trabaja tanto y piensa que esta arando en el mar sin obtener realmente algo importante, solo perdiendo su tiempo por tratar de cumplir una meta personal que no la lleva a ninguna parte, pero aun así continúa hasta que la oportunidad llega, siento que su camino se parece a mi experiencia en Hive, se que nadie hará un libro de película sobre mi, pero en Hive he podido compartir mi pasión y me he sentido acompañada por mis lectores, pero a diferencia de Julia mi blog funciona en la web3, son tiempos diferentes pero me impactó tantas similitudes con mi vida.

Creo que esta película me dejó un gran aprendizaje, este tiene que ver no solo con la constancia, sino con la fortaleza mental que hay que tener para conseguir esa constancia, hubo veces en que Julie por tanto estrés y problemas personales piensa en dejar de escribir su blog, ella misma comparte una especie de despedida y no cocina por una semana pero luego su esposo la motiva y ella misma se hace cargo de sanar su mente y corazón, a veces también he pasado por momentos en he llorando mientras escribo un post en Hive o he pensado en abandonar, sin embargo, continúo y mi constancia es lo que me ha permitido salir adelante, esta película me enseñó a que vale la pena esforzarse, aún cuando existan días grises que nos hagan perder la visión por momentos, pero que no podemos dejar que un día malo arruine todo el esfuerzo de tantos días.

Esta película es inolvidable porque narra la historia real de dos mujeres decididas y apasionadas, por un lado Julia Child que aunque tuvo una vida acomodada gracias a su esposo y no tuvo que preocuparse por dinero, se propuso aprender un oficio, ser chef y además escribir y publicar un libro, el cual tardó muchísimo en poder llevar a cabo, no era precisamente una mujer joven cuando empezó con sus estudios, era una mujer madura pero que luchó por su pasión y con un objetivo, pero lo más increíble es como una mujer que escribe un libro inspira a otra mujer que se basa en su libro para escribir en su blog, personas del medio terminan haciendo un libro de la bloguera y la película de la que les estoy hablando, es una cosa inolvidable como la conexión esta mucho más allá de las épocas, dos mujeres que vivían en tiempos instintos, Julie si tenía preocupaciones de dinero pero no se dio por vencida, su trabajo no le impidió cocinar y escribir cada día, siento que historias así tienen son tan excepcionales pero al mismo tiempo son comunes si nos ponemos a ver las cosas desde lo cotidiano, no hace falta conocer a una persona para inspirarse y tampoco hace falta ser famoso para escribir, todo algún día tiene su reconocimiento.
