The little flowers I saw few weeks back had developed in to big chilli pepper fruits which is so amazing.

So I had to apply little amount of wood ash to increase the flowering of the pepper plant and thereby produce more fruits.

Wood ash (as opposed to coal ash) can be a great addition to the garden. It contains potassium or potash (they’re not identical but - scientists look away now - the terms are often used interchangeably), and potassium is a vital nutrient for crops.

Just as it does in humans, potassium regulates plants’ water balance (so tissue is firm and juicy), and has a part in transporting food within the plant and creating sugars and starches.

As one of the nutrient required by the plant, potassium is also responsible for flowering and fruiting of the plant in which wood ash contains..

Applying it was quite easy, had to apply it at the root zone of the plant so the plant can take it up easily..
