Greetings from Sri Lanka. Yesterday was an official holiday so I was able to travel very freely and absorb a lot of fruitful things. In the face of the current severe economic crisis in Sri Lanka, many blame the government, but we do not stand to gain. If we do not do the essential things we need to do in the midst of this high inflation, we will also have to go down economically. We have a lot to think about and do in this dire situation. I now know from experience that many problems can be solved by absorbing other people's ideas and thinking creatively. So I met last evening with such a visionary neighbor and saw a productive garden.

See how she has grown capsicum in small polythene bags. A few still unripe pods come out, flowering more and growing to suit the needs of the house. She grows capsicum very well in seed pods approved by the Department of Agrarian. Capsicum is sold at a very high price in the market today. More productivity from home gardening should be expected on simpler and less technical applications. Always start small and plan to expand gradually.

There were a lot of curry leaves growing in my neighbor's garden. It's really a blessing in disguise. Because curry leaves are a very valuable and expensive crop. Curry leaves are a valuable plant with many medicinal properties. Therefore, in Ayurveda too, curry leaves have a special value. In addition, the plant is widely used in medicinal and culinary purposes. Curry leaves can also be used as a seasoning, especially the ones we use to flavor food. In addition, we can eat curry in delicious ways. In fact, curry leaves contain a lot of essential nutrients and vitamins, so it is very important to include them in our diet. My lost uncle mentioned earlier that gotu kola is high in protein, vitamins, calcium, phosphorus and iron which are highly nutritious. Gotu kola has also been found to have anti-cancer properties. Of course we do not need a lot of space and fertile soil to cultivate so we can all grow the things we need at home. What is most needed is interest and desire. We can find the time if we want and we can manage and cultivate where there is less space if there is interest. This is such an attempt. We are very new to cultivation. This is our first experiment. But we were able to have a lot of success. We can also grow one plant at home without having to wait to buy groceries from the market.
