Pollination of passion fruit Passiflora edulis

I have had Passionflower for several years now.
But I managed to achieve its flowering and fruit for the first time.
Therefore, I will apply the same method next year to my other Passionflowers, I have 5 of them in total, and I tried it only on 2.
I grow all these Passionflower in pots.

This is the use of boric acid for irrigation.
Dose:
2 gr. boric acid per 10 liters of water

At first I these 2 gr. I dissolve in hot water, but not in boiling water.
Then I bring the amount of water to 10 liters.

Can be watered and sprayed at the same time.

This solution can also be applied to other fruit trees.

It is desirable to water Passiflora after drying the topsoil by 1-2 cm.

In winter, watering should be limited.

The photos I were taken with a Lenovo TAB 2 A10-70L tablet

Passiflora edulis is a self-pollinating species, so 1 plant is enough to set fruit.

But nevertheless, the pollination of Passiflora must be done manually, it will not even be superfluous if bees fly on your territory and so on.

Now it's time to pollinate.

Now it's time to pollinate.

For pollination, I used a makeup brush.
And after the pollen is ripe (the stamens open), I collect the pollen from the stamens with a brush and pollinate the stigmas of the pistils with it from all sides.
I show this process in the photo.

My Passiflora plant is still young, but despite this, she delighted me with 8 flowers, of which 7 gave fruits.
This is a great result!
Now I will wait for the fruit to ripen 😊

If the Passiflora buds are the same color as in the photo below, then this bud will not bloom.
This happens quite often and this is normal, since the reason for this is not necessarily you, it also depends on the weather conditions.
