Blue's 2 Minute Garden Tips: Sowing Salad Greens

Sowing Salad Greens Indoors

In the middle of winter, I hate not being able to eat fresh garden harvests, so, this past winter, and now, this winter I am sowing my own Lettuce, Spinach, Arugula, and harvesting too!

Every three or four weeks, I will seed start another batch of lettuces, to keep my indoor garden fresh with healthy choices for my family. This video, I will be sowing Super Red Romaine Lettuce, Little Gem Butterhead Lettuce, Slow Bolt Arugula, and Bloomsdale Spinach.

Follow my latest 2 Minute Garden Tip as I show you how I begin the seed starting for the salad grteens. Future videos, over winter, will show us cultivating, and harvesting the fresh, healthy salad greens.

Food Security, and also Food Safety are two of the biggest reasons for me growing my own food.

I like knowing that I am providing my own food for family and friends. I know what I use to grow the foods, and know that it is the ultimate locally grown!

And that makes me smile... better for the planet, better for my own family.
