Deus Ex Gameplay 01-27

Escaping with my new energy sword proves to be harder than planned. The alarms have sounded and now I am attempting to flee the base which I stole the secret weapon from. I press a switch that opens up a door close to the entrance of the lab. Though two guards see me, I flee and go back where I came from and pressed the switch again to close the door. Using my environment pays off sometimes, though as I run back from where I came the rest of the guards chasing me meet with me. A firefight breaks out in a hallway and I have to use a medpack or two just to get through.

I go for some stealth and ambush some guards before they can sound the alarm again. It was on for awhile when I stole the sword and did not want to go through all that again. I took them all out on the second try. I find a rocket launcher and take it with me, though had to shift some items around to fit it.

The rocket launcher is good to opening doors I would otherwise have to waste lock picks. So by blowing open some of the storage boxes in that room I can save my lock picks. I go back through the map since I took out almost all the guards, and have fun tormenting the scientists. I throw a toxic barrel at them and it breaks open making a toxic cloud. I really like having fun with the environment being explosive barrels and other interesting effects in this game that changes the gameplay every time. That makes the replay value of this game so much more, when you are allowed to do many different things in the game.
