Guitar Hero es uno de los videojuegos mas reconocidos a nivel de género musical hoy en el mundo de los videojuegos y no es para menos ya que introdujo mecánicas muy buenas de juego para hacernos rockear al mejor estilo de la época con canciones y temas clásicos de distintos géneros, este videojuego fue desarollado por activision, famosa compañía responsable de otras grandes saga como una de las más conocidas que sería call of duty, este videojuego además fue distribuido por redoctane y mtv games, en su debut el jueog fue lanzado el 8 de noviembre de 2005 teniendo rapidamente un gran éxito entre el mundo de los jugadores por ser un videojuego fuera de todos los estándares conocidos, ya que el hecho de crear algún tiempo de videojuego que fuera por mucho diferente a lo demás y acostumbrado era una apuesta arriesgada ya que podría ser un gran éxito o un rotundo fracaso, y esto es algo que en aquella época las compañía tenían en cuenta, ya que recordemos que en el comienzo de la era 3d con la salida de la consola PS1, hubieron muchos éxitos como también muchos fracasos en el mundo de los videojuegos, pero guitar hero fue una sensación en su momento cosechando muchos fans alrededor del mundo convirtiéndose así en un icono de los videojuegos de música.

Una de las razones por la que este videojuego adquirió tanta fama es por que este era jugable con un controlador especial con forma de guitarra eléctrica y posteriormente se fueron agregando nuevos instrumentos a estas franquicias para poder jugar con amigos en casa, este controlador tenía forma de guitarra eléctrica e iba conectado directamente a la consola de ps2 como si de un control común se tratara esto obviamente atrajo la atención de muchos jugadores e interesados en probar esta nueva sensación del momento que para la época era increíble de ver ya que recordaba de forma nostálgica incluso en aquella épocas algunos periféricos que se podían adaptar a algunas consolas para maximizar su potencial o bien la jugabilidad en ciertos videojuegos, este título trajo u ntotal de 30 canciones para poder en solitario o con amigos, y estas eran temas clásicos desde los años 60 hasta temas actuales de su año de salida en 2005, así como también algunos bonus tracks para poder disfrutar mas horas de juego, esto hizo que el videojuego también se hiciera famoso entre los jugadores que con mucho elogio y buenas críticas puntuaron el juego de forma masiva en diferentes blogs y revistas del gaming de la época dándole así una excelente calificación al juego meses después de su salida, algo que también fue increíble fue ver la jugabilidad que tenía el videojuego que seguro muchos conocen ya pero que para la época fue algo totalmente nuevo y que inovaba en cuanto a gameplay respecta.

La Jugabilidad del juego se basa en simular la interpretación de cada canción ya que este se basaba en presionar los botones del controlador que como ya mencioné tenía forma de guitarra y estas tenían diferentes colores al igual que los botones del controlador con forma de guitarra, y esto simulaba las notas musicales de cada canción y estas venían hacía nosotros en lo que simula también el traste de la guitarra y tienen forma redonda y limunosa, este modalidad de jugabilidad podía variar dependiendo de la velocidad de cada canción y esto también ponía al límite los reflejos y velocidad del jugador ya que dependiendo de la dificultad tendríamos que efectuar más movimientos o acciones para poder obtener la mejor puntuación en cada canción, y cuanta más dificultad metieramos al juego más difícil sería poder superar el nivel pero más realista sería la experiencia en cuanto a simular cada canción respecta, de igual forma debemos tener en cuenta que al ser un videojuego o simulación esto no se asemaja 100% fielmente a lo que sería tocar una guitarra realmente o una de verdad en mejores términos, pero era una buena experiencia para los niños de la época y también para los jugadores de la época, ya que esta saga se creo para ser jugada por todas las edades, y es irónico que a día de hoy es un videojuego nostálgico ya que este juego en su época fue creado para crear ese mismo sentimiento de nostalgia al poder interpretar o simular que tocábamos clásicos del género de rock de años pasados y de grandes artistas reconocidos mundialmente, sin duda alguna una prueba más de que los videojuegos pueden lograr grandes cosas.
