Hello my dear Hive friends! Today I bring you a bit of history regarding the first online game I played, back in the early 2000s in a cyber near my house. I remember going in with my mother to the cyber saying that she was going to make some copies, and I was stunned looking at the screen of one of the boys who was playing something very peculiar: I saw an avatar dressed in black and gray hair walking on a map with a green grass killing a bipedal bull with a ball of energy coming out of his hands. At that time, I discovered the classic Mu Online.
¡Hola mis queridos amigos de Hive! Hoy les traigo un poco de historia con respecto al primer juego online que jugué, por allá al inicio de los 2000 en un cyber cerca de mi casa. Recuerdo entrar con mi mamá a dicho cyber que ella iba a sacar unas copias, y me quedé atontado mirando la pantalla de uno de los chicos que jugaba algo muy peculiar: vi a un muñeco vestido de negro y pelo grisaseo caminando en un mapa con un pasto verde matando a un toro bípedo con una bola de energía que salía de sus manos. En ese momento, descubrí el clásico Mu Online.

Mu Online is an MMORPG game where, at that time, there were only three classes: The Dark Knight (melee character), the Dark Wizard (wizard character) and Elf (distance / support character). The main map for the first two classes is called Lorencia, and that of the Elf Noria. These three classes must level up by slaying monsters that are adept at the evil Kundum, then face off against and defeat him to free the continent from its sinister effect.
Mu Online es un juego MMORPG en donde, en aquel momento, solo existían tres clases: El Dark Knight (personaje melee), el Dark Wizard (personaje mago) y Elf (personaje de distancia/apoyo). El mapa principal para las dos primeras clases se llama Lorencia, y el de la Elf Noria. Estas tres clases deben subir de nivel matando monstruos adeptos al malvado Kundum para luego enfrentarse contra él y derrotarlo para liberar el continente de su efecto siniestro.

I remember how every day I went to the cyber to play Mu because at home I did not have a computer, by then I was about 7 years old. So much is the love I have for the game, that today with 26 years I still play on various servers that have appeared throughout history, with their thousands of updates and new classes of characters that have been implemented.
Recuerdo cómo todos los días iba al cyber a jugar Mu porque en casa no tenía computadora, para ese entonces tenía unos 7 años. Tanto es el amor que le tengo al juego, que hoy día con 26 años aún juego en diversos servidores que han aparecido a lo largo de la historia, con sus miles de actualizaciones y nuevas clases de personajes que han implementado.
My favorite class was always the Dark Wizard and his angel-like wings, even though he wasn't the strongest of the classes, plus in all games I've always preferred distance characters to melee.
Mi clase favorita siempre fue el Dark Wizard y sus alas parecidas a un ángel, a pesar de que no era el más fuerte de las clases, además de que en todos los juegos siempre he preferido personajes de distancia que melee.

The appeal of this game is not just the PvE, which can sometimes get boring because of the repetitiveness. Where the strength really is in PvP (like Chaos Castle), with several events where the guilds or clans get involved to fight against each other and thus demonstrate which one is the most powerful and reign on the server. Events like this are the Castle Siege and the Arka. The winning guild receives great benefits for all its members, so these events are always quite competitive.
El atractivo de este juego no es solo el PvE, que algunas veces se puede hacer aburrido por lo repetitivo. Donde de verdad está la fortaleza es en el PvP (como el Chaos Castle), con varios eventos donde se involucran los guilds o clanes para luchar unos contra otros y demostrar así cuál es el más poderoso y reinar en el servidor. Eventos como este son el Castle Siege y el Arka. El guild ganador recibe grandes beneficios para todos sus integrantes, por lo que siempre se hacen bastante competitivos estos eventos.

Another positive aspect of Mu Online is that it does not require a super computer to play it, with a modest PC you can rest assured that it does not have the best graphics engine, which is also a negative point because it does not lose its somewhat pixelated appearance. A graphics engine revamp would be great to breathe new life into Mu Online.
Otro aspecto positivo de Mu Online es que no requiere una súper computadora para jugarlo, con una PC modesta puedes estar tranquilo ya que no tiene el mejor motor gráfico, lo cual es un punto negativo también porque no pierde su apariencia un tanto pixelada. Una renovación de motor gráfico sería excelente para darle una nueva vida a Mu Online.
Mu Online also has some great PvE events like Devil Square, Blood Castle and the recently (a couple of years ago) placed Varka or Gaion.
