đŸȘ™ Upcoming changes to Seasonal Rewards System

Hello all Rabona players & enjoyers! We hope you’re having a good start of this year! Today we’ve got some important news to share with all of you. We’d like everyone to get acquainted with the following information, so please keep on reading.

💡 Background

Two weeks ago we’ve introduced the new Referrals 2.0 system, which makes it very profitable for everyone to invite new players to join Rabona. The system is constructed so to especially rewards active players, as if the joining players keeps actively playing the game for at least two weeks, both them and the referrer receive additional rewards! We’ve already paid out over 25M RBN, as well as over 5 HIVE in rewards—and we expect these numbers to grow, especially now that HIVE price fell down a bit. Take your chance to capture as much HIVE as you can!

If you read our posts with attention, you probably already see a recurring theme, which is to incentivize Rabona players to be active within the game and make sure this activity gets rewarded properly. Our goal is to make a game which is fun to play and rewards people who actually spend the time fine-tuning their tactics, analyzing other player’s matches to beat them, and so on.

One of the major elements of the game which require reworking is the Seasonal Reward System, which is responsible for rewarding users with HIVE, depending on which place in which League they have finished their Season. The issue is that this system does not reward players activity, and might be perceived as unfair, especially by users playing in the lower leagues, where they receive no rewards at all.

It took us quite some time to analyze how this system could be improved to be more sustainable and more rewarding for users at the same time.

🏩 Temporarily Lowered HIVE Rewards Pool

Firstly, we would like to tackle the elephant in the room, which is the game sustainability. In short, we have to rework Rabona’s financial system for the game to be more sustainable. Currently, we pay out much more in rewards than what flows into the game’s wallet.

This problem has not started today—it’s the result of some decisions made by the original creators many months ago, as well as the lack of proper maintenance and fine-tuning of the game in the meantime. We are now to tackle these issues, but it will take us some time to do.

At the same time, we want to rework the system in such a way, that our users do not feel like they are losing any rewards. On the contrary, we want the new system that we will introduce to be even more rewarding for active players.

Until we finish the work on the new rewards system, we are forced to temporarily lower the HIVE reward pool to 100 HIVE per season. We understand that this change might come with a backlash from the community, but we do with the best intentions to improve the game and we believe that this change will profit the community in the future.

We believe that in few seasons time we’ll be ready to roll out the brand new Rewards System, where the reward pool will be returned back to around 400 HIVE per season.

Having said that, let’s move on to see how the new Rewards System will look like.

🆕 The New Rewards System

There are three main components to the upcoming system, which we will describe separately below.

đŸ—“ïž Daily HIVE Rewards

The first main feature of the new system is the new Daily HIVE Rewards mechanism in place of the previous Seasonal HIVE Rewards one.

The new system will grant you HIVE reward after each match that you win, so in total you can get 4 rewards for each season day (if you win all the matches). These rewards will be paid out daily, so you won’t have to wait until the end of the season to receive your HIVE.

The amount of reward per won match will depend on the League Level in which you play, with higher rewards in higher leagues. Exact amounts will be provided in the future, but we will try to keep the overall rewards pool at 400 HIVE per season or more.

đŸ–ïž Daily Tasks & Claiming Rewards

Another big change to the rewards system is that daily HIVE rewards will not be transferred to you automatically. Instead, you will have to perform Daily Tasks in order to unlock the Claim Rewards action. If you do not claim your rewards, they will return back to the rewards pool.

How the process will look like:

  1. Each day you play 4 different matches.
  2. For every match you win, you will have HIVE reward added to your daily pool.
  3. The next day you will see how much HIVE you earned the previous day.
  4. You will have to perform Daily Tasks, like training your team.
  5. When you complete this daily challenge, you will unlock the option to Claim Rewards from the previous day.
  6. When you Claim Rewards, HIVE will be transferred to your account.
  7. If you have some HIVE rewards to claim, but you do not perform the Daily Task or do not Claim Reward, at the end of the day these rewards will be returned to the Reward Pool and you will no longer be able to Claim them.

There will be various Daily Tasks, with possibly more coming in the future. For now we think about having these Daily Tasks:

  • Submit a Training
  • Submit a Formation

It is possible that performing these Daily Tasks will not only unlock the Claim Rewards action, but they will also increase the total reward to be claimed.

đŸȘ™ Seasonal RBN Rewards

The final change will be the introduction of the Seasonal RBN Rewards system. Previously each player from League of Champions, Leagues 1 and Leagues 2 would receive HIVE reward after each season—depending on which place they end up the season at.

Now, with Daily HIVE Rewards introduced, we change the Seasonal Rewards to be paid out in RBN. That’s right, the introduction of Daily Rewards will not remove the Seasonal Rewards.

A huge change will be that all League Levels will be included in the new RBN Rewards, even teams from League 3 will receive reward after the end of a season.

Again, we can’t provide the exact numbers yet, as we are yet to fine-tune these new systems, but we can say that we plan RBN Rewards to be a big part of the overall rewards pool value.
