[Pusen Plays] Hellpoint - Episode 3 | Stupid Mistakes On The Ikari Walkways


After defeating the second boss we move on to a new area. The Ikari Walkways are up next where we get a rough reunion with a tough enemy from earlier in the game. We also smack up a lot of the small dudes but it's cool to finally get some enemy variety.

This game really is growing on me the more I play it. The combat is fun and the areas are well made. They're not to big but they hold a lot of secret areas and hidden paths. I wonder if the areas are gonna start looping back on each other soon like they do in the Dark Souls games. It's so pleasing when you've ventured far into the world only to find an elevator or a door that takes you back to the start or a previous area with a save point. With how much Hellpoint has borrowed from Dark Souls I think we can expect to see it coming.

One thing I wish they had changed was the fog wall before bosses. One of the nerve racking things about Dark Souls was walking into an empty room only to freak out when a boss spawns. In this game we already know there will be a boss because of the fog wall we have to enter. In takes away some of the anticipation and you can even prepare for it. Like, if you see a fog wall just go spend all your axions before going in. In Dark Souls you would have to keep going at the boss while picking up all your souls each run if you didn't want to lose them. Oh, well. If I wanted everything to be like Dark Souls I should just play Dark Souls instead right?

I also made proper thumbnails for the episodes going forward. That should make it easier to recognize each episode if you're looking at them in a list.
