I play in Diamond I League Modern Format.

My Lineup and strategy

  • In the low mana cap of 26 and The Rise of the Common** ruleset limit the monster we can use, and the monster stats are not as good as the legendary or epic monster stats.
  • In the Even Stevens rulesets not have many monsters who have Sneak ability.

Because of that, I think the enemy will focus on attacking our monsters in the first position. Our strategy in this battle will be to use many tankers and high damage monsters. We will sacrifice the speed but strengthen the tanker we use. My lineup:

~~~~~~Summoner/Monster~~~~~~
Description
chrome_Q6JtYDykFw.pngGeneral Sloan, we want to use many range attack monsters so we used this Summoner to add +1 damage to all our range attacker.
Pelacor Conjurer, 1st positon. This is our Tanker. Put in the first position because can evade any attack from magic, range, or melee monsters. Has high speed and Flying ability making this monster hard to hit combined with Divine Shield ability makes this monster last longer. The only weakness this monster has it can't attack.
Sunkai Harvester, 2nd positon. This is our 2nd attacker and tanker. Put in this position because has Reach ability. This monster has balanced stats and can be a good attacker and defender.
Xenith Monk, 3rd positon. This is the 3rd tanker this monster can't attack from this position actually useless until it moves to the first position, but I suspect that the enemy will focus fire attacking our monster in the first position so we need this tanker to protect our high damage monster behind.
Venari Crystalsmith, 4th positon. This monster is important in this battle because it has a Tank Heal ability, put this here to protect our main attacker behind.
Pelacor Arbalest, 5th positon. This is our main attacker every round with the Double Strike ability will give a total damage of 8 if combined with the summoner General Sloan who gives range damage +1.
Xenith Archer, 6th positon. This will become our tanker if the enemy brings a monster with the Sneak ability (attack monster in the last position), it will protect Pelacor Arbalest. This monster is not very good against attack but only several monsters who have Sneak ability in even mana so I think it will hold for a while.
The Battle
Buff and Debuff at the first round.
Round 1:
The enemy brought summoner Kelya Frendul and monster River Nymph who can increase the speed so their speed is higher than ours, the enemy monster moves first, and all the enemy attacks hit our Pelacor Conjurer and died when attacked by the enemy Deeplurker. We can see in this round due to lower speed our Pelacor Arbalest Double Strike ability can't hit the enemy Xenith Monk.
  • Round 2:
    The enemy attacked first due to higher speed, after receiving damage from the attack of 2 enemy monsters, our Sunkai Harvester was killed by the enemy Deeplurker. Our last tanker Xenith Monk moved to the first position. It's our monster's turn to attack with 4 damage our Venari Crystalsmith hit the enemy Xenith Monk and killed it. The enemy monster Deeplurker moved to the first position and was attacked by our Xenith Archer and Xenith Monk and finally killed by our Pelacor Arbalest Double Strike ability.
  • Round 3:
    As usual the enemy attack first in round 3 and kill our Xenith Monk. Our Venari Crystalsmith moves to the first position and can't attack anymore. At the end of the round, our Pelacor Arbalest hit the enemy River Nymph and killed it, the enemy Kulu Swimhunter range monster moved to the first position so it couldn't attack anymore.
  • Round 4:
    Our Venari Crystalsmith Heal makes the Merdhampir difficult to kill. This time our Pelacor Arbalest easily hit the enemy monster Kulu Swimhunter and killed it, maybe because the enemy does not have boost speed again from River Nymph. The enemy Merdhampir move to the first position and can't attack anymore, so the victory is 100% ours now.
  • Round 6:
    We skip it to round 6 because the enemy can't attack the battle not interesting anymore, in this round our Pelacor Arbalest kills the last enemy monster Merdhampir. This battle is over with our victory.
Did your strategy work?
The strategy works according to our plan. Because we bring 3 tankers in front this gives a chance to our range attacker monster who has slow speed and great damage to kill the enemy tanker. The enemy only brings 1 tanker which is Xenith Monk. The other enemy monster is not suitable to be a tanker they die easily when attacked.
Actually, I never used this strategy, but I lost many battles when trying to reach D1, so I decided to use this new strategy to surprise the enemy.
As you can see this is our last battle before I reach Diamond I, the next battle I got bonus point because the enemy surrender 😆.
Thank you everyone for taking the time to read my post. I really appreciate it and would be grateful if you could provide me with feedback on any mistakes you find by leaving a comment.
