Darkest Dungeon nos presenta un hombre que al estar cansado de su rutina decide investigar unas antiguas ruinas en la según libros habitan poderes oscuros, cosas interesantes con las que el podía conocer o ver cosas nuevas y cambiar su rutina. Realizando la excavación llegaron al portal que decían los libros y al hacerlo molestaron tierras sagradas convirtiendo la mansión en la Mazmorra Oscura y todos en el pueblo están en peligro si no cierran el portal y vencen a todas esas criaturas que habitan en la mazmorra.
Eres el hijo de aquel hombre que inició todo este apocalipsis y tratarás de salvar el pueblo como el te lo pidió, claro, tu no tienes poderes ni nada del estilo. ¿Cómo lo harás? Tu objetivo es preparar los mejores grupos de mercenarios para que se adentren en esta mazmorra.
Jugabilidad
Darkest Dungeon es un juego con un nivel de dificultad alto y aunque el entendimiento mecánico o el uso de habilidades se vuelve sencillo a medida que lo juegues, el usarlas en el momento, con el personaje adecuado y al objetivo adecuado es un factor fundamental para poder avanzar en este juego.
Cada uno de tus mercenarios tendrá sus carácteristicas positivas y negativas, a diferencia de las desventajas y ventajas comúnes en un juego como que un lancero tiene más rango que un espadachín entonces tiene ventaja, etc. En Darkest Dungeon sin importar si ambos mercenarios tienen o no la misma clase, las ventajas y desventajas que estos te ofrezcan dependerán totalmente de cómo utilices tus herramientas y de lo que el juego te ofrezca.
Tus mercenarios pueden tener fetiches que hagan que te den menos botín porque deciden quedarse una parte o que abran zonas con veneno porque les atraen las zonas del estilo, haciendo que recibas daño y tengas que ir con mayor precaución, puedes retirarte de la mazmorra sin completar pero no recibiras las recompensas como te gustaría, aunque tu equipo de mercenarios sobrevivirá para una nueva excursión.
En darkest dungeon son tus mercenarios los que suben de nivel, pero debes administrar bien sus niveles y tener varios equipos dado que si suben mucho de nivel no querrán hacer misiones de niveles más bajos y tendrás que ir a esas con equipos mal preparados e improvisados. Además si estás en un punto avanzado de la mazmorra y solo tienes un equipo bien preparado y es vencido, te las veras díficil para avanzar con los nuevos equipos improvisados.
En el poblado tendrás diferentes lugares para mejorar el estado de tus mercenarios, reducir su estrés, mejorar equipos, contratar nuevos e incluso ocurrirán eventos que pueden ayudarte a recuperar mercenarios caídos anteriormente o te otorgarán mejoras de daño o resistencias contra algún tipo de enemigo en concreto, incluso mejoras de experiencia.
Deberás administrar tu oro de forma eficiente, no sólo porque es el que utilizarás para equipar a tu equipo para realizar la excursión, todo se realiza con ese oro, desde mejorar la zona de contratación, la forja, etc, y debes escoger la mejor inversión en ese momento.
Tus personajes tienen una barra de estrés que al llegar al límite rompe en 2 posibilidades, tu ficha puede pasar a estar totalmente alterado o totalmente inspirado, en caso de la primera comienza a (dependiendo que lo altera) actuar de forma independiente, puede negar las ordenes que se le den, atacar a sus compañeros, entre otras. Y en caso de la primera el persona constantemente dice palabras inspiradoras que ayudan con el estrés de sus compañeros.
Conclusion
El juego es increible, es un desafío en todos los sentidos, debes jugarlo totalmente concentrado y es muy probable que esta dificultad haga que no sea un juego fácil de entender para todo tipo de jugadores, sino para jugadores con cierta necesidad de algún tipo de reto. El mayor reto en este juego es que sientes que el juego está jugando contigo, las probabilidades de golpear a un objetivo tienden a ser menores a las que te indica el juego por mera dificultad, los críticos enemigos aumentan o se ven más recurrente, etc.
Darkest Dungeon posee bastante contenido y DLC's que dan aún más contenido al juego, por ende te ofrece múltiples horas de juego y que serán más o menos a medida de cómo estén saliendo tus excursiones y cómo inviertas el dinero.
Recomiendo el juego a aquellos que quieran o busquen esa sensación de desafío, a aquellos que les guste estar concentrado y pensar con la mayor objetividad posible que decisión tomar, que mejorar y que no mejorar, si no eres de ese tipo de jugadores puedes jugarlo no soy quien para decir que no lo jueguen, pero, no sería mi recomendación.

In darkest dungeon your mercenaries are the ones who level up, but you must manage their levels well and have several teams since if they level up a lot they will not want to do lower level missions and you will have to go to those with poorly prepared and improvised equipment. Also if you are in an advanced point of the dungeon and you only have a well-prepared team and it is defeated, you will find it difficult to advance with the new improvised equipment.
In the town you will have different places to improve the status of your mercenaries, reduce their stress, improve equipment, hire new ones and even events will occur that can help you recover previously fallen mercenaries or will grant you damage improvements or resistances against some type of specific enemy , even experience improvements.
You must manage your gold efficiently, not only because it is what you will use to equip your team for the excursion, everything is done with that gold, from improving the contracting area, the forge, etc., and you must choose the best investment at that moment.
Your characters have a stress bar that, when reaching the limit, breaks into 2 possibilities, your token can become totally altered or totally inspired, in case of the first one it begins to (depending on what alters it) act independently, it can negate the orders given to him, attack his companions, among others. And in the case of the first, the person constantly says inspiring words that help with the stress of their colleagues.
Conclusion
The game is incredible, it is a challenge in every way, you must play it totally concentrated and it is very likely that this difficulty makes it not an easy game to understand for all types of players, but for players with a certain need for some kind of challenge .
