A couple of days ago I was talking about Punck-Out!!! for the nintendo SNES, a boxing game with a lot of quality and entertainment. Later I met Ready 2 Rumble Boxing for the Nintendo 64, a 3D game that took my love for this genre far beyond what I could imagine, with exceptional graphics and an enviable gameplay, which made the game one of the best of its genre at the time, and perhaps even today.

It was just a matter of starting a fight to realize how great the video game was, with a presentation practically the same as in real life.

Before starting a fight, the contestants were presented with a brief description, and with quite creative names, on a colorful and colorful screen, highlighting the red and yellow characteristic of Ready 2 Rumble Boxing.

With a total of 13 characters and some to unlock, was how we started the game, inviting gamers to participate in the championship mode, or better seen as career mode, in which we would advance by category in search of the title that would consecrate our character, and help unlock some other.

In combat, it was possible to move around the entire ring, which gave the game a much more realistic look, with a fairly good camera angle that gave us full visibility of the fighting space.

Attacking and defending was another of those fascinating aspects, with the A and B buttons it was possible to make different moves to dodge the opponent's attacks, and as for the attacks it was possible to perform a total of 4 basic hits with the C buttons (yellow on the controller), although one of them was much more powerful than the other 3.

In the championship mode, we had the possibility of training, fighting for the title, fights for money, and even changing boxer in case we were not comfortable with the one we had. To fight for the title it was necessary to pay a sum of money, so we had to be doing cash to be able to opt for great things in this game mode. We also had a record of our record of victories and defeats, and a table of valuation or attributes of our fighter that would improve according to training and fights.

At each fall, whether it was ours or the opponent's, the judge would count down to see if the fallen fighter could continue.

It was possible with effective blows, to win a letter that helped us to complete the word RUMBLE, and that gave us a burst of adrenaline to perform a series of forceful and almost deadly attacks for the opponent, it was really great and entertaining to activate this burst of fury.

OPCIONES.png

The options menu allowed us to vary the difficulty level and some other important things, such as the number of rounds, the number of K.O.'s, and the time in each round, which was quite necessary, since not all people liked long fights.

The background music at the start of the game that was quite epic, the game modes, the variety of punches we could execute, the diversity of eligible fighters, the audiovisual quality, the explosive power effect, and the animation of the battles were the main reasons that made it so addictive, you practically could not find a weakness in the game, but rather reasons and attributes to classify it as one of the best boxing games we have been able to experience throughout our experience as gamers, and believe me that if you do not like boxing, in this game you will find a new hobby.

Ready 2 Rumble Boxing - Un solo combate lo hace adictivo

PORTADA.png
