Arthas is one of the most iconic characters of the World of Warcraft, this brave warrior was characterized by always wanting to do the right thing, for always wanting to do justice to any threat that endangered his people.
Unfortunately for him, all that thirst for justice that lived in his being would make his own pride would mow him down, it was so much dedication to his ideals, that would come a time where all that would be transformed into revenge, a revenge that would lead him to become the most hated villain of all.
Arthas es uno de los personajes mas iconico del Mundo de Warcraft, este valiente guerrero se caracterizaba por siempre querer hacer lo correcto, por siempre querer hacer justicia ante cualquier amenaza que pusiera en peligro a su gente.
Lamentablemente para él, toda esa sed de justicia que habitaba en su ser haría que su propio orgullo lo segara, era tanto la entrega por sus ideales, que llegaría aun momento donde todo eso se transformaría en venganza, una venganza que lo llevaría a convertirse en el villano más odiado de todos.
Arthas was very loved and respected by his people, he always kept in mind to protect his people at all costs no matter what kind of threat was in front of him. All this generosity for his people would begin to be disturbed with the arrival of a plague, at the time no one knew the source of the plague that was spreading rapidly in all the villages of the kingdom. Arthas, seeing how all his people were contaminated, set out to begin to investigate and to find out where the deadly plague had come from.
Arthas era muy amado y respetado por su pueblo, siempre mantenía en mente proteger a su gente a toda costa sin importarle el tipo de amenaza que tuviera al frente. Toda esa generosidad por su pueblo empezaría hacer perturbada con la llegada de una plaga, para su momento nadie sabía la procedencia de la plaga que se estaba propagaba con mucha rapidez en todas las aldeas del Reino. Arthas al ver como todo su pueblo caía contaminado, se puso en marcha para empezar a investigar y poder saber de donde había surgido esa peste tan mortal.
In his quest to find the source of the mysterious plague that plagued his people, he found that it was caused by a demon named Kel'Thuzad. Arthas, realizing how terrible it was, knew from the first moment how dangerous and deadly the plague could be.
Kel'Thuzad before dying at the hands of Arthas, gave him to understand that the plague not only had the purpose of infecting and making humans mortally ill, but also that this plague would turn them all into undead.
En su búsqueda por encontrar la procedencia de la misteriosa plaga que azotaba a su pueblo, consiguió que esta era causada por un demonio llamado Kel'Thuzad. Arthas al darse cuenta de lo terrible que era, supo darse cuenta desde el primer momento de lo peligrosa y mortal que podía ser la plaga.
Kel'Thuzad antes de morir a manos de Arthas, le dio a entender que la plaga no solo tenia la finalidad de infectar y enfermar mortalmente a los humanos, si no que también esta plaga los convertiría a todo en muertos vivientes.
"Stratholme" one of the largest villages in the kingdom, had already been contaminated in its entirety by the plague, it was only a matter of time before all its inhabitants would become undead.... And it would be at this point where the ordeal of the brave warrior Arthas would begin.
Seeing such an atrocity and being practically tied by the hand, in his thoughts he had no choice but to decide to purge the entire village. Arthas in his idea to protect his people thought that the most correct thing to do was to end the lives of all the infected villagers and thus prevent the plague from spreading even more throughout the kingdom.
At the end of such a massacre and seeing the carnage that had become the village, Arthas could not get himself, despite believing that what he had done had been the best for his people, he could not bear with all the great weight that now lived in him. Arthas would be affected psychologically causing in him a very strong hatred, a very deep resentment and a thirst for revenge unique in his being. All this would lead him to commit catastrophic actions from which he would not be able to turn back.
"Stratholme" una de las aldeas más grande del reino, ya había sido contaminada en su totalidad por la plaga, solo era cuestión de tiempo para que todos sus habitantes se convirtieran en muertos vivientes... Y sería en este punto donde empezaría el calvario del valiente guerrero Arthas.
Al ver tal atrocidad y verse prácticamente amarrados de mano, en sus pensamientos no tuvo otra opción más que decidir en purgar toda la aldea. Arthas en su idea por proteger a su pueblo pensó que lo más correcto era terminar con la vida de todos los aldeanos infectados y con esto evitar que la plaga se propagara aun más por el reino.
Al terminar tal masacre y al ver la carnicería en la que había convertido la aldea, Arthas no se conseguía en si mismo, a pesar de creer que lo que había hecho había sido lo mejor para su pueblo, no podía soportar con todo al gran peso que ahora habitaba en él. Arthas quedaría afectado psicologicamente causando en él un odio muy fuerte, un resentimiento muy profundo y una sed de venganza única en su ser. Todo esto lo llevaría a cometer acciones catastróficas de las cuales no iba a poder dar marcha atrás.
The brave warrior Arthas would lose his sanity in such a way that he did not mind sacrificing himself in order to rid his kingdom of the plague of the Undead. All these things he did without realizing that he was being used, Arthas was being manipulated by the demons that carried out the plague plan.
Apparently these demons already had information about him and knew that Arthas' greatest weakness was the unbreakable pride he possessed, the demons knew they could use that to their advantage and use Arthas as a fundamental piece for their evil plans.
El valiente guerrero Arthas perdería la cordura de tal manera, que no le importaba sacrificarse a si mismo con tal de librar a su Reino de la plaga de los Muertos Vivientes. Todas estas cosas las hacia sin darse cuenta que estaba siendo utilizado, Arthas estaba siendo manipulado por los demonios que llevaron acabo el plan de la plaga.
Al parecer estos demonios ya tenían información sobre él y sabían que la mayor debilidad de Arthas era ese orgullo inquebrantable que poseía, los demonios sabían que podían usar eso a su favor y usar a Arthar como una pieza fundamental para sus planes malévolos.
Arthas' madness for wanting revenge would take him to the unknown lands of "Rasganorte", in those lands he would find once and for all what would be his complete doom. There he would find the cursed sword named "Frostmourne", Arthas to take it and wield it in his hand would be at the mercy of all the curse of "Frostmourne", a curse that would corrupt him with the passage of time. Thus Arthas would undertake his journey back to the Kingdom of his father in "Lordaeron", but unfortunately the brave warrior would no longer be that Arthas that everyone in his village knew, he was an Arthas totally corrupted by evil, an evil that would make him kill his own father, who was the King, when he arrived to the Kingdom.
La locura de Arthas por querer vengarse lo llevaría a las tierras desconocidas de "Rasganorte", en esas tierras encontraría de una vez por todas lo que sería su completa perdición. Ahí encontraría la espada maldita que tenia como nombre "Frostmourne", Arthas al cogerla y empuñarla en su mano quedaría a merced de toda la maldición de "Frostmourne", una maldición que lo iría corrompiendo con el paso del tiempo. De esta manera Arthas emprendería su viaje de regreso al Reino de su padre en "Lordaeron", pero lamentablemente el valiente guerrero ya no sería ese Arthas que todos en su pueblo conocían, era un Arthas totalmente corrompido por la maldad, una maldad que haría que al llegar al Reino matara a su propio padre que era el Rey.
And that is how Arthas would go from being the most loved hero to the most hated villain by all his people... Now he would become known as "Lich King" - The King of the Undead.
Y sería así como Arthas pasaría de ser el Héroe más amado, al Villano mas odiado por todo su pueblo... Ahora pasaría hacer conocido como "Lich King" - El Rey de los Muertos Vivientes.
