Alrededor del mundo existen muchos fans de esta legendaria producción cinematográfica, yo he visto cada una de sus películas y jugar con un videojuego donde tendremos la acción siendo alguno de los personajes más famosos de la saga siempre será maravilloso para los fans de Star Wars. El videojuego no necesita publicidad o alguna importante presentación, el trabajo de marketing ya esta hecho con tan solo el titulo. En lo particular me agrada la saga cinematográfica, sin embargo, confieso que he jugado muy pocos videojuegos referentes a estas películas.
El Videojuego
Este videojuego es lanzado en el año 2008, sin embargo, cuenta con versiones para diferentes plataformas, para PS3, X360 desarrollado por Lucas Arts y sus versiones más simples para consolas PS2, PSP y Nintendo Wii, esta versión es desarrollada por la empresa Krome Studios. Este juego es del genero Hack and Slash, es un genero basado en el enfrentamiento cuerpo a cuerpo, pero a diferencia de otros subgéneros de combate este se caracteriza por la utilización de armas de corte, navajas, cuchillos o en el caso de este videojuego espada laser.
En lo particular disfruto mucho los subgéneros de combate de este tipo, donde nos enfrentamos a muchos enemigos al mismo tiempo y que nuestra habilidad es determinante para poder vencer a tantos enemigos que quieren eliminarnos. Desde videojuegos en la PS1 me ha parecido interesante este tipo de combates, sin embargo, Hand and Slash es un subgénero muy especifico y son pocos los videojuegos donde se utilizan solo armas de corte con una cámara sobre los hombros para combatir contra muchos enemigos al mismo tiempo, normalmente podemos utilizar armas de fuego e incluso bazucas en los videojuegos clásicos del genero con este tipo de cámaras, sobre todo si nos remontamos a los clásicos de principios de los 2000.
Uso de la Fuerza
Así como se muestra en el titulo del videojuego una de las características más interesante que nos presenta es que podemos utilizar la fuerza, mover objetos y aventarlos contra los enemigos, disparar rayos desde los dedos del personaje o incluso aplastarles la tráquea a esos débiles antagonistas y así vencerlos con mucho estilo. Me parece un aspecto muy positivo la utilización de una de las características más importantes e interesantes de las películas de Star Wars.
La fuerza se mide en una especie de barra de poder bajo la barra de salud, se va gastando mientras se utiliza y se recarga al pasar los segundos, sin embargo, hay objetos especiales que podemos encontrar para recargar la fuerza. Ir caminando con Darth Vader aplastando la tráquea de los enemigos, lanzándoles objetos pesados, disparando rayos es algo que genera mucha emoción y una sensación de poder bastante atractiva, por supuesto, esto es mientras completamos los niveles mas sencillos del videojuego.

En este modo tendremos la oportunidad de introducirnos en el género Hand and Slash, comenzamos siendo Darth Vader y nos enfrentaremos a una gran cantidad de enemigos recorriendo los diferentes escenarios hasta llegar a un jefe para derrotar, en este caso es un Jedi que nos hace completar el primer escenario.
Las cinemáticas son interesantes y acordes a la saga de películas, sin embargo, la historia no es el seguimiento de alguna de esas producciones sino que nos cuenta algo diferente. La historia del videojuego se centra en un aprendiz de Darth Vader, el cual enseña el lado oscuro de la fuerza y lo convierte en un guerrero formidable, su misión en destruir por completo la orden Jedi. En el primer escenario comenzamos a conocer este aprendiz el cual es simplemente un niño, su padre es el jefe del primer escenario, un Jedi que es asesinado cruelmente por Darth Vader adivinen de que manera (aplastándole la tráquea), pero este guerrero del lado oscuro queda impresionado con el poder oculto que tiene el niño, esto demostrado en la cinemática luego de vencer ese primer jefe.
Multijugador
Además de tener la posibilidad de combatir contra muchos enemigos al mismo tiempo, podemos invitar a un familiar o amigo para realizar una épica batalla de sables de luz. Este videojuego esta prácticamente nuevo, no se ha desbloqueado nuevos personajes por lo cual la selección de los contrincantes es muy limitada, sin embargo, se puede observar que al desbloquear todos los personajes jugables en el modo multijugador gozaremos de una gran variedad en cuanto a elección de personajes.
Esta es la típica lucha cuerpo a cuerpo armados con un sable de luz, sin embargo, podemos utilizar la fuerza también en este modo de juego, al igual que en el modo de un jugador podremos levantar objetos y lanzarlos contra el rival, también lanzar rayos para debilitarlo, sin embargo, debemos estar atentos a esa barra de fuerza para realizar este tipo de ataque, también podemos levantar al enemigo e intentar asfixiarlo, sin embargo, funciona mas efectivamente contra los débiles enemigos del modo de un jugador.
Gráficos:
Siendo honesto los gráficos no son algo muy impresionantes en esta versión del videojuego, recordando que la versión para Wii es desarrollado por otra empresa y que evidentemente no tendría la misma calidad de imagen que la versión para PS3 o XBOX 360, por lo cual a pesar de que el videojuego tiene mas de 20 años, para la época esperaba una mejor calidad grafica en esta versión para Wii, no quiero decir que sean malas o decepcionantes pero para representar este videojuego basado en una de las sagas mas importantes del cine creo que merecía una mejor calidad, quizás la experiencia mejore significativamente al probar la versión para las consolas mas avanzadas.
Banda Sonora:
En este momento resonará en la cabeza de los lectores esa magnifica banda sonora característica de Star Wars, es imposible que un videojuego basado en esta saga no cuente con la banda sonora que nos recuerde las películas, esto sin dudas le agrega emoción y nostalgia al videojuego ya que de cierta manera sentimos que somos parte de esa aventura que tantas veces hemos visto en el cine o la televisión.
Conclusión
Este es un videojuego bastante llamativo para los fans de Star Wars, me parece un juego simple pero muy bien ambientado en la historia que todos conocemos, una mecánica fácil de jugar y con la posibilidad tanto de jugar contra muchos enemigos débiles o en multijugador retar algún amigo a una batalla de habilidad con el sable de luz. Aunque por otro lado creo que en cuanto al aspecto gráfico esta versión no cumple con las expectativas de lo que realmente significa el videojuego, sin embargo, no deja de ser un juego entretenido que podemos jugar en la Nintendo Wii y mover el control como si tuviéramos el sable.
