Hola Gamers, un placer estar de nuevo con todos ustedes, creo que como gamers siempre tenemos un sentimiento especial cuando podemos disfrutar de una nueva consola, esa emoción de probar una consola distinta es algo indescriptible que siempre queda en nuestra memoria, así he contado sobre mi experiencia en cuanto a diferentes consolas que he podido tener en mis manos desde la Famicom hasta la Xbox 360 he podido escribir en Hive, sin embargo, hoy es el turno de otra de las grandes consolas del mercado y que presentaba al jugador algo muy nuevo e innovador, hoy les contaré mi apreciación y la experiencia de cuando tuvimos por primera vez la Nintendo Wii en nuestro hogar.
Muchos de nosotros recordaremos ese sentimiento especial a ver una publicidad de la wii en los años 23132 cuando es lanzada por la compañía Nintendo, normalmente estábamos acostumbrados a jugar con los controles, apretar los botones sin realizar un mayor movimiento, sin embargo, la publicidad de Nintendo sobre esta consola se basaba en realizar movimientos que son seguidos por sensores por lo cual los personajes seguían los movimientos del otro lado de la pantalla. En lo particular me parecía algo sumamente revolucionario, jugar con el movimiento con unos sensores no solo apretar los botones, para los jugadores de la época se traducía en una enorme curiosidad para probar esta consola, ese fue mi caso, sentía que Nintendo tenía mucho para aportar a la industria y desde la N64 yo no tenía una consola de Nintendo.
Quería probar esa consola y jugar con el movimiento, sin embargo, Venezuela había cambiado y los gastos para jugar estaban limitados. En un post anterior expliqué como la situación económica dificultaba la obtención de las consolas más actualizadas y desde la aparición de la Xbox 360 era algo mucho más recurrente. En mi caso debido a los altos costes de las consolas tuve que elegir solo una y tener mucha paciencia hasta que mis padres ahorraron para comprarme la Xbox 360, la Wii era la competencia por parte de Nintendo en esa lucha de consolas en la década de los 2000´s.
A pesar de que mi decisión se centró en la consola de Microsoft pude jugar en la Wii poco tiempo después, al final de cuentas a todos mis primos los incitaron a elegir una sola consola y uno de mis primos (@epilatero) decidió una Wii como su consola para jugar, otro de mis primos eligió la Game Cube a pesar de que en nuestro propio cuarto no teníamos esta colección de consolas cuando nos uníamos podíamos pasar el día jugando en diferentes consolas y un montón de videojuegos.
Recuerdo cuando mi primo llegó a la casa con el Wii, era un momento que esperábamos mi hermano y yo, nos fascinaba la idea de jugar con los sensores de movimiento, recodemos que el Kinect de Xbox 360 salió unos años después así que la Wii era algo especial que despertaba mucha curiosidad en nosotros.
Adivinen que jugamos toda la noche
Así como lo pensaron pasamos toda la noche jugando Wii Sports, era el videojuego que venía junto a la consola y vaya que pudimos estrenarla muy bien ese día, era un momento en que no queríamos jugar así como lo veníamos haciendo tradicionalmente, apretando los botones, queríamos jugar con nuestro cuerpo y Wii Sports nos ofrecía esa diversión que los deportes nos regalaban para movernos y en muchos casos sudar hasta el cansancio.
Dentro de la colección de Wii Sports recuerdo que el videojuego que más me hacía sudar por el movimiento era el de boxeo, en mi niñez había competido en karate así que sienta la competencia en mis venas al tener un videojuego de lucha en el Wii, me movía, saltaba y ajustaba mis golpes con la precisión limitada que me ofrecía Wii Sports así que me cansaba mucho, sobre todo el hecho de que mis golpes solo golpeaban el aire en lugar de algo fijo, ese detalle hacia que mis brazos se cansaran y el estar saltando como en una lucha real hacia que mi cuerpo funcionara en pleno por lo cual era el deporte que más me cansaba pero en definitiva uno de mis favoritos en Wii Sports.
Otro de los grandes videojuegos es el béisbol en Wii Sports, siempre me ha encantado los videojuegos de deporte y el béisbol es un deporte que siempre apasiona a un Venezolano por lo cual siempre jugábamos tratando de batear los jonrones más lejos posible. Al igual que en el boxeo el hacer el movimiento del bate era muy diferente a la vida real debido a que no se cuenta con el peso de bate y muchas veces se terminaba con un poco de dolor en el brazo, pero era lo que menos pensábamos seguíamos haciendo sudando. Nuestros padres y tíos bromeaban diciendo que era la única manera de hacer deportes entre nosotros, hacerlos frente a la pantalla mediante un Wii, pero sí que era un buen ejercicio jugar a todos estos videojuegos.
Otro de esos videojuegos que generaban bastante competitividad en todos los que estábamos disfrutando el Wii esa noche era el juego de bolos, este así como el tenis y el golf se podía jugar de cuatro jugadores teniendo la particularidad de que se podía jugar con uno o dos controles solamente debido a que se juega por turnos, una simulación bastante entretenida, creo que a diferencia de otros deportes no había jugado a los bolos en la vida real, luego si pude jugar (y perder en la vida real) en un centro comercial en la ciudad pero en el Wii era un juego que a todos les encantaba sean fan del deporte o no por lo sencillo y la emoción que generaba.
EL tenis era otro juego emocionante, en la vida real el tenis me parece un deporte muy difícil de jugarlo, me parecía que exigía un esfuerzo descomunal en brazos y piernas teniendo en cuenta que la técnica del golpeo de la pelota no es fácil, así que definitivamente prefería jugarlo en la Wii que en la vida real. Lo emocionante del tenis era jugar en multijugador e incluso jugar una partida de cuatro jugadores, esto hacia que el juego se volviera mucho más emocionante y entretenido sin duda una joya en nuestros recuerdos.
El deporte que menos jugamos en el Wii fue al golf, este es un deporte que confieso que hasta el día de hoy no lo he practicado en la vida real pero si en algunos videojuegos pero definitivamente era un juego que ante la emoción que ofrecían los otros deportes quedaba en el último puesto.
Conclusión
Creo que la tecnología de realidad virtual sobre los sensores que detectan el movimiento será definitivamente un futuro bastante interesante para los gamers, sobre todo viendo todo en hologramas, definitivamente algo que puede atraer a cualquier persona, sin embargo, retrocediendo un poco en el tiempo pienso que la Wii nos regaló algo bastante futurista que luego pudimos hacer con la Xbox 360 y la Playstation 3 con sus propios sensores pero que significó en su momento una forma diferente de jugar y que abrió las mentes de los jugadores.
Wii Sports es en definitiva un videojuego inolvidable para cualquiera, en mi caso es el primero que juego de esta manera con el movimiento y es un videojuego realmente especial para mí. A pesar de que no tuve una Wii propia tengo la fortuna de pertenecer a una familia gamer donde podemos jugar con una gran variedad de consolas y videojuegos reunidos entre todos a lo largo de los años.
Todavía jugamos en la Wii en algunos momentos, ya la verdad no juego Wii Sport pero jugamos Mario Strikers, Super Smash Bros. I remember when my cousin came to the house with the Wii, it was a moment my brother and I were waiting for, we were fascinated by the idea of playing with the motion sensors, remember that the Xbox 360 Kinect came out a few years later so the Wii was something special that aroused a lot of curiosity in us.

Just as you thought, we spent the whole night playing Wii Sports, it was the video game that came with the console and we were able to use it very well that day, it was a time when we did not want to play as we had traditionally done, pressing the buttons, we wanted to play with our body and Wii Sports offered us that fun that sports gave us to move and in many cases sweat to exhaustion.
Within the Wii Sports collection I remember that the video game that made me sweat the most because of the movement was the boxing game, in my childhood I had competed in karate so I felt the competition in my veins when I had a fighting video game on the Wii, I moved, jumped and adjusted my punches with the limited precision that Wii Sports offered me so I got very tired, especially the fact that my punches only hit the air instead of something fixed, that detail made my arms tired and jumping like in a real fight made my body work in full so it was the sport that tired me the most but definitely one of my favorites in Wii Sports.
Another of the great video games is baseball in Wii Sports, I have always loved sports video games and baseball is a sport that always passionate a Venezuelan so we always played trying to hit the home runs as far as possible. Just like in boxing the batting motion was very different from real life because you don't have the weight of the bat and many times you ended up with a little pain in your arm, but it was the least we thought we were still sweating. Our parents and uncles joked that it was the only way we could play sports with each other, playing sports in front of the screen with a Wii, but it was good exercise to play all these video games.
Another of those video games that generated quite competitive in all who were enjoying the Wii that night was the bowling game, this as well as tennis and golf could be played by four players having the particularity that you could play with one or two controls only because it is played in turns, I think that unlike other sports I had not played bowling in real life, then if I could play (and lose in real life) in a mall in the city but on the Wii was a game that everyone loved whether they were fans of the sport or not because of the simplicity and excitement it generated.

The exciting thing about tennis was to play in multiplayer and even play a four player game, this made the game much more exciting and entertaining without a doubt a jewel in our memories.
The sport we played the least on the Wii was golf, this is a sport that I confess that to this day I have not practiced in real life but if in some video games but it was definitely a game that before the excitement offered by other sports was in last place.

I think that virtual reality technology on sensors that detect movement will definitely be a very interesting future for gamers, especially seeing everything in holograms, definitely something that can attract anyone, however, going back a little in time I think the Wii gave us something quite futuristic that then we could do with the Xbox 360 and Playstation 3 with their own sensors but that meant at the time a different way to play and that opened the minds of the players.
Wii Sports is definitely an unforgettable videogame for anyone, in my case it is the first one that I play in this way with the movement and it is a really special videogame for me. Even though I didn't have my own Wii I have the fortune of belonging to a gamer family where we can play with a great variety of consoles and videogames gathered together over the years.
We still play on the Wii at times, I don't really play Wii Sport anymore but we play Mario Strikers, Super Smash Bros. Brawl, The Legend of Zelda, even video games like Rock Band and Guitar Hero are still played from time to time, a fantastic collection that always gives us moments of entertainment and fun.
