Hello to all the Hive Gaming community, we are almost at the scariest day of the year and of course we are talking about Halloween so I hope you take advantage of these days to play some good horror games, today we will talk about a game with a very particular style that I personally liked a lot, we will be talking about Until Dawn.

This game was a very pleasant surprise since it not only presents us the typical Survival Horror in which we must flee and face enemies, but it also presents us what could be considered an interactive story, since we could choose between eight characters among a group of friends, depending on the choice we make this would be reflected in more or less friendship with some of the characters of the group (since we have a friendship bar for the character we select) also I consider that the most important factor that we present this game is that each of the choices we make will have serious consequences (may even survive some of these eight characters) besides that also these elections will be taking us to a particular end (we could consider this similar to the multiple endings that the Silent Hill saga presents us but really this game put its own stamp on this idea) we will also have to interact with an AI known as The Analyst which will be asking us questions about what we like or dislike, that gives us more fear (responses such as phobia of spiders or snakes may even have an inclusion in the game) and what relationship we feel with the other characters, this will reflect factors in the outcome or interactions of the game, allowing each game is made a little more personal.

This game was made by Supermassive Games and distributed by Sony Computer Entertainment and the PlayStation Store platform, this game was originally going to be released for the PlayStation 3 but its release was delayed and was launched in 2015 for the PlayStation 4, being this game an exclusive of the console (very unfortunate since this game deserved to be played by a much bigger public).

This game had excellent 3D graphics and a third person perspective that allowed us to feel a greater interaction with the other characters, besides, as I said, the most important factor of this game is that our decisions will have consequences and not only decisions like saving a character but something as small as choosing to pick up an object or taking a different path could make the events of the game change, this allows us to replay this game a lot of times and find different outcomes in each of these opportunities, in addition to the interaction we have with other characters also comes to have consequences, factors such as jealousy, enmities, or fights can reach our player witness situations that on other occasions had not seen, also the enemies of this great game are a very important factor and the history of how they came to become what they are equal, so in the game we can go looking for clues to know the story behind the so deadly Wendigos (in addition to being a great reference to the myths of the Native Americans).

This game had a great reception by the critics and even better by the fans, coming to have after its release a very solid fan base, this is due not only to its so particular way of carrying the game (say that you could say that the game is handled as a butterfly effect and if you do not know that this effect is seriously recommended to see the film The Butterfly Effect 2004) even being this game in 2015 one of the games with more users of Stream and Youtube that played it.

I only have to add that this game is really amazing and its dynamics with multiple endings and the fact that every decision, no matter how small, can have an effect on the game makes it really great, I recommend it if you want to try something different from the classic Survival Horror games, Besides its format in chapters makes the game look a little more like a movie (and if you look at the characters it reminds you a little to the horror movies of the 80's), it's seriously very funny and it's a game that seriously allows us to re play it several times, I hope you feel good and that any advice leave me in the comments, thanks.
Hola a toda la comunidad de Hive Gaming, ya casi estamos llegando al día mas aterrador de año y por supuesto estamos hablando de Halloween así que espero que aprovechen estos días para jugar algunos buenos juegos de terror, hoy hablaremos de un juego con un estilo bastante particular que a mi en lo personal me gusto bastante, estaremos hablando de Until Dawn.

Este juego fue una muy grata sorpresa ya que no solo nos presenta el típico Survival Horror en el que debemos huir y enfrentar enemigos, sino que nos presento lo que se podría considerar como una historia interactiva, ya que podríamos elegir entre ocho personajes entre un grupo de amigos, dependiendo de la elección que tomemos esto se vería reflejado en mayor o menos amistad con alguno de los personajes del grupo (ya que tenemos una barra de amistad para el personaje que seleccionemos) además considero que el factor mas importante que nos presento este juego es que cada una de las elecciones que tomemos tendrán consecuencias graves (pudiendo inclusive hasta la supervivencia de alguno de estos ocho personajes) además que también estas elecciones nos irán llevando a un final particular (podríamos considerar esto parecido a los múltiples finales que nos presenta la saga de Silent Hill pero realmente este juego puso su propio sello en esta idea) también tendremos que interactuar con una IA conocida como El Analista el cual nos ira realizando preguntas sobre que nos gusta o desagrada, que nos da más miedo (respuestas como fobia a las arañas o a las serpientes pueden tener inclusive una inclusión en el juego) y que relación sentimos con los otros personajes, esto ira reflejando factores en el desenlace o interacciones del juego, permitiendo que se haga cada partida algo un poco más personal.

Este juego contó con unas gráficas en 3D excelentemente logradas y una perspectiva en tercera persona que nos permitía sentir una mayor interacción con los demás personajes, además de que como ya comente el factor mas importante de este juego es que nuestras decisiones tendrán consecuencias y no solo decisiones como salvar a un personaje sino algo tan pequeño como elegir recoger algún objeto o tomar un camino diferente podría hacer que los eventos del juego cambien, esto nos permite re jugar este juego una gran cantidad de veces y encontrar diferentes desenlaces en cada una de estas oportunidades, además que la interacción que tengamos con los otros personajes también llega a tener consecuencias, factores como los celos, las enemistades, o peleas pueden llegar a nuestro jugador presenciar situaciones que en otras oportunidades no habíamos visto, además los enemigos de este gran juego son un factor importantísimo y la historia de cómo llegaron a convertirse en lo que son igual, así que en el juego podremos ir buscando pistas para saber la historia que hay detrás de los tan letales Wendigos (además de ser una gran referencia a los mitos de los nativos americanos).

Este juego tuvo una gran recepción por parte de la critica y una mejor aun por parte de los fans, llegando a tener luego de su lanzamiento una muy sólida base de fans, esto debido no solo a su tan particular forma de llevar el juego (digamos que se podría decir que el juego se maneja como un efecto mariposa y si no saben que es este efecto les recomiendo en serio que vean la película The Butterfly Effect de 2004) inclusive siendo este juego en 2015 uno de los juegos con mayor cantidad de usuarios de Stream y Youtube que lo jugaban.

Solo me queda agregar que en serio este juego es increíble y su dinámica con múltiples finales y el hecho de que cada decisión por muy pequeña que tomemos puede llegar a tener un efecto en el juego lo hace en serio genial, se los recomiendo si quieren probar algo diferente a los clásicos Survival Horror, además de que su formato en capítulos hace el juego parecerse un poco más a una película (y si miras a los personajes te recuerda un poco a las películas de terror de los 80), es en serio muy divertido y es un juego que en serio nos permite re jugarlo varias oportunidades, espero que se encuentren bien y que cualquier consejo me lo dejen en los comentarios, gracias.
