Hello to all the Hive Gaming community, I hope you are great, today as such I'm not going to talk about a game as such, but what we were shown a few days ago at the Resident Evil Showcase and after the brutal success (and almost resurrection of the saga) that was Resident Evil 7 expectations in its continuation were very very high and thanks to the gameplay that was presented and the new demo (Maiden) we can comment on several points.

Something we noticed (and for which I am very grateful) is that it was decided to keep the perspective in 1st person for Resident Evil Village (point that for me managed to give a higher level of terror to its predecessor), also we continue to maintain the incredible graphic development that reaches almost photorealism and we must admit that the details with which they are taking the environments are at another level (the castle that is shown both in the gameplay and in the trailer is really great because it is not only visually beautiful but brutally maintains the suspense of the game).

In this game we will again take the role of Ethan Winters who after years of the traumatic events he lived in the previous game, will have to face hell again and is that according to the gameplay that was presented to us will be to rescue his daughter. Well talking about what could be the story of the game, let's talk about what we all are interested in (believe me, I'm interested too) and is The Tall Woman hahaha, not really the point that most interested me in this game (admitting that The Tall Woman is among them hahaha) is that the villains are not seen as the typical biological weapons of the saga, but this time they remind us more to the gothic literature being these possible vampires, besides that in the gameplay we saw what would be zombies (or maybe ghouls to continue with the idea of gothic horror), what seemed to be also werewolves and also an enemy similar to the Executioner of Resident Evil 5 (due to the weapon used and its size); therefore the approach that this game is giving us in terms of enemies is something quite different from what the saga has accustomed us.

The mechanics of the battles that we were shown in the gameplay give us to understand that we will have a little more action in this game and is that we can block attacks from our enemies, plus each of these will have a distinctive way to attack so we will have to prepare different strategies to defeat them, We also have a return of the inventory style of Resident Evil 4 and is that as we saw we can create both ammunition and healing items and as if it were not enough nostalgia with this aspect, we will also return to have a merchant which was named as The Duke, so this will provide us with both weapons and items at a price that he sees fit and at the same time we can sell him those that we do not need.

In addition to what we were shown in the gameplay was also released to download and play the demo Maiden (exclusive for PlayStation 5) in which we will take the role of a character who must escape from this gloomy castle, but with the very cruel caveat that we can not attack or block attacks from our enemy, so we will have a purely stealth and escape approach but showing us that beautiful (and terrifying) castle in which we will be trapped in the game as such.

Particularly this game has my expectations very high because the previous game for me was one of the best horror games I've come to try in my life, plus in the RE Showcase there was talk that we would also have a lot of Puzzles and challenges which makes me have much more desire to try this game, much to my regret I have not been able to try the demo but I would very much like to do so if any already had that opportunity please let me know in the comments, I hope you are great and I'll see you another time.

Hola a toda la comunidad de Hive Gaming, espero que se encuentren genial, hoy como tal no voy a hablarles de un juego como tal, sino de lo que se nos mostró hace unos días en el Resident Evil Showcase y es que luego del brutal éxito (y prácticamente resurrección de la saga) que fue Resident Evil 7 las expectativas en su continuación estaban muy muy altas y gracias al gameplay que se nos presento y al nuevo demo (Maiden) podemos comentar varios puntos.

Algo que notamos (y de lo que estoy muy agradecido) es que se decidió mantener la perspectiva en 1era persona para Resident Evil Village (punto que para mi logro darle un mayor nivel de terror a su antecesor), ademas seguimos manteniendo ese increíble desarrollo gráfico que llega casi al fotorealismo y es que debemos admitir que los detalles con los que se están llevando los ambientes están a otro nivel (el castillo que se nos muestra tanto en el gameplay como en el trailer esta realmente genial ya que no solo es visualmente hermoso sino que mantiene de forma brutal el suspenso del juego).

En este juego volveremos a tomar el papel de Ethan Winters quien luego de años de los eventos traumaticos que vivió en el juego anterior, tendrá que enfrentarse otra vez a un infierno y es que según el gameplay que se nos presento sera para poder rescatar a su hija. Bien hablando ya de lo que podría ser la historia del juego, hablemos de lo que a todos nos tiene interesados (si créanme a mi también me interesa) y es The Tall Woman jajaja, no realmente el punto que mas me intereso de este juego (admitiendo que The Tall Woman esta entre ellos jaja) es que no se ven a los villanos como las típicas armas biológicas de la saga, sino que esta vez nos recuerdan mas a la literatura gótica siendo estos posibles vampiros, ademas que en el gameplay vimos los que serian zombies (o tal ves ghouls para seguir con la idea del terror gótico), lo que parecía ser también hombres lobo y también un enemigo parecido al Executioner de Resident Evil 5 (debido al arma que utiliza y a su tamaño); por lo tanto el enfoque que nos esta dando este juego en cuanto a los enemigos es algo bastante diferente a lo que la saga nos tiene acostumbrados.

La mecánica de las batallas que se nos mostraron en el gameplay nos dan a entender que tendremos un poco mas de acción en este juego y es que podremos bloquear ataques de nuestros enemigos, ademas que cada uno de estos tendrá una forma distintiva de atacar por lo que tendremos que preparar estrategias diferentes para vencerlos, también tenemos un regreso del estilo de inventario de Resident Evil 4 y es que según vimos podremos crear tanto municiones como items de curación y como si no fuese suficiente nostalgia con este aspecto, también volveremos a tener a un comerciante el cual fue nombrado como The Duke, así que este nos proporcionara tanto armas como items a un precio que el considere conveniente y a la vez podremos venderle aquellos que no necesitemos.

Ademas de lo que se nos mostró en el gameplay también fue liberado para descargar y jugar el demo Maiden (exclusivo para PlayStation 5) en el cual tomaremos el papel de un personaje que deberá escapar de este tétrico castillo, pero con la muy cruel salvedad de que no podremos atacar o bloquear ataques de nuestro enemigo, así que tendremos un enfoque netamente de sigilo y escape pero mostrándonos ese hermoso (y aterrador) castillo en el que nos veremos atrapados en el juego como tal.

Particularmente este juego tiene mis expectativas muy altas ya que el juego anterior para mi fue uno de los mejores juegos de terror que he llegado a probar en mi vida, ademas que en el RE Showcase se hablo de que tendríamos también una gran cantidad de Puzzles y retos lo cual me hace tener muchas mas ganas de probar este juego, muy a mi pesar no he podido probar el demo pero me gustaría muchísimo hacerlo así que si alguno ya tuvo esa oportunidad por favor déjenmelo saber en los comentarios, espero se encuentren genial y nos veremos en otra oportunidad.
