Storyweaver Irelia Carry! TFT Set 11

Hi guys, it's been more than a week since the new set for Teamfight Tactics was released, but I still don't feel good about it. Everything feels too complicated. On the other hand, this is one of the things we love about this game. Every 3-4 months you have to relearn something and you have to adapt. For example, there is a new mechanic in this set called Encounters. Characters visit your board at different stages of the game and provide gameplay-changing things. Some of them make augments appear at random stages. Some give you gold or items, some do nothing lol. I'll share with you one of the games I'm trying to get used to all this. Enjoy!

You can watch the gameplay video here without commentary:

As you can see this game started with an Encounter. Instead of a portal or a universe, Azir tells us that the 2nd and 3rd augment selection will happen in random rounds. For those wondering how this can change the game, clicking on an economy augment at the beginning or at the end of the game changes a lot. A combat augment is also much more valuable at the end of the game. I might prefer an economy augment in phase 2 or 3, but in phase 5 I would choose a combat augment.

I thought the Storyweaver composition could be strong, so I chose the Call to Adventure augment, which allows Kayle to permanently gain 2 ability power and 12 health for every 2 takedowns. For those who don't know, Kayle is a champion that appears when you activate the Storyweaver trait and you make her stronger with the attributes you choose.

Storyweaver composition is really strong in the early game. Even if you are not going to play this composition, you can choose it for early game. I won 4 of the first 5 fights. It's sad that the only fight I lost was the middle one, I couldn't make a winning streak xd

As the 2nd Encounter, Aatrox visited us and offered gold, can or component items. As I said, I always prefer gold in the early game because economy is important.

I won all the fights in the midgame, except the last one. Kha'zix 3 stars is really strong and took away my winning streak. If I had a better lineup I would have beaten him but I didn't know he was so strong and I didn't know I would face him.

2nd augment even spawned after where we normally pick 3rd augment lool. This is going to be a very interesting game. Little Buddies allows your 4 and 5 gold champions to gain 75 health and 9% attack speed for every 1 or 2 gold champions on the board. Since champions like Riven, Garen, Sivir, Zyra will be on the board, I thought it would be a good buff for 4-5 gold champions and chose this one.

Yorick came to visit us and reduced the cost of shop upgrades to 1 gold for the next 3 turns. I'm sure those who spent their gold before this round regretted it.

Kobuko visited us and told us that the more people dance the more rewards we will get. I think everyone danced lol. You can see the prizes already. Probably 3 item components.

The last augment appeared in stage 5 and I said I would choose a fighting augment. Healing Orbs II is a very good option. When you slaughter an opponent, the nearest unit regenerates 450 health. This means that as long as your backline champions kill the opponent, the frontline champions will continue to live.

The pesky bug Kha'zix managed to beat me again! He's really annoying me lol. Maybe I should try this composition sometime. It looks pretty simple. All Heavenly champions and 4 Reapers.

Speaking of compositions, my composition is pretty simple. All Storyweaver champions and all Dragonlord champions. I'm temporarily using Kaisa because I managed to make at least 2 stars. Irelia, Kayle and Lee Sin will carry the composition. My main tank is Galio. You can also use Riven as a backup tank.

I managed to easily beat my opponent playing the Mage composition, but Kha'zix keeps beating me every time. I don't think I have a solution against him.

No matter what I did, I could never beat this composition. He was lucky enough to get the emblem he wanted from the carousel. If I could get a Storyweaver emblem too, maybe I'd have a chance. But with 10 Storyweavers I think I could beat this opponent lol. Maybe the 3rd item I chose for Irelia was also bad but I didn't have a better choice. Anyway, I will learn by playing.

Thanks a lot for reading, I hope you enjoyed it. If you play TFT, have you tried the new set? This game used to be quite popular in the community, but not so much now :P Maybe there are still some people playing. Take care and have a great day!
