MSFS - 7 Continents World Tour, part 9 - Patagonia

Time for another Microsoft flight sim post where I'm in the progress of visiting all the continents of the world, flying in real-time.
Right now I'm at the point where I have crossed all the North America and now finished with South America as well

If you have missed my previous world tour content and want to see these posts then the list is here.

First flight Alaska to Canada
Second Part Canada to USA
Third part Washington to New Mexico
4-th part New Mexico to Floida
5-th part Florida > Bahamas > Haiti
6-th part Haiti > Peru
7-th part Peru
8-th part Chile/Argentina/Bolivia

I started the last leg of South America from the Malargue airport in Argentina.

In this post, you will see an area called Patagonia. Patagonia is a large southern region of Chile and Argentina. Here I only flew in Argentina for a short while until crossing over to Chile and flying there the remainder of the time, over the vast mountain range on the west coast.
The dark red line on the map indicates the route in this post.

Here you see some volcanic eruption that looks to be quite recent. This is not too far from the Malargue town where I started up.

Mount Payun nearby.

Parque national park, now I crossed over to Chile.

I touched down on the Cholila lodge airstrip in Chile. Just a small grass-covered strip. It was also very short so I was having a hard time landing there with my aircraft.

And another flight after the refuel.

San Valentin mountain, 4059 meters in height. This is the part where glaciers got a very common occurrence and I love seeing them.

Absolutely amazing!

Had to make another stop soon enough and this happened next to Lake Viedma in Argentina, near the border.

And the last flight to the southern tip of Chile

I had to manually set the weather to better. I usually fly with real-time weather but it was so bad there yesterday so I wouldn't be able to see any ground and this is no fun at all.

The scenery there is so freakin amazing, I really need to visit Patagonia in real life as well.

This area is mostly uninhabited. Only a few small towns.

Mount Darwin 2850 meters in height. This was the last glacial spot I saw.

After 10 minutes of more flight, I landed at Guardiamarina Zanartu airport in Chile. This is pretty much to the southern tip of South America.

This is it for this post. Now, all that is remaining is the cross the very little there is left of South America and then over the sea to Antarctica. The flight takes about 2 hours and 20 minutes with my aircraft to reach Antarctica. Even though the flight over the sea is probably really boring, I don't teleport myself there. It would defeat the purpose of this trip to fly all over the world. I just switch on autopilot and let it fly 😀.

I don't really know what to expect of Antarctica here in flight sim. I think that the Satellite and high data this Simulator uses is not the best there because the satellite data is poor in general of Antarctica. I also don't expect to spend a lot of time there. The plan is to fly back to South America because I don't have anywhere to go from Antarctica. Flying straight to Africa would be too long of a flight and this aircraft does not have a fuel capacity.

I will start the next flight today and let's see what there is to see in Antarctica!

By the way, it took me 17 hours and 15 minutes to cross all the South America.
