Its been 3 months since my last update of the Microsoft Flight simulator where I fly all over the world and visiting all the 7 continents.
It's summer and I don't game as much as I do at other times in a year. Though now I have progressed a bit more, I flew through Antarctica and back to South America because I don't really have anywhere else to go from Antarctica.

I started up this part of the journey from the Southernmost part of South America in Chile

This is the most southern point of the southern location of South America, Hornos island.
I use real-time weather data so it should be the same in the game as in real life. The flight took around about 1hr and 20 min to get from South America to Antarctica. Most of the time it was cloudy but I got some nice shots.

Soon I landed in Antarctica, on King George Island. Unfortunately, as I imagined the ground details were quite poor. We have no good satellite data of Antarctica so that's why it's not good in the game too. Still, I got to see some ground formations like mountains, etc.
No snow at this location.
This is the point where I took a 3-month pause from gaming this game. Further content is taken in the last week.
I decided to go a little further into Antarctica and see what there is to see.
Mountains, Ice and snow.
It was getting dark and I decided to turn back soon enough. After all, there is not too much more to see. Mostly Antarctica is just a flat ice sheet.

On another day, I took my course back to South America and the plan is to cross the Argentinian coastline.
This one is taken in the morning on the sea between Antarctica and South America.
On the map I saw a small patch of connected islands, the name is Falkland islands. I also took a short break at the Stanley airport that I Have no pictures of.
Here are a couple of the islands themselves. Not much Civilisation there.
I set the course on the mainland and after a short while, I was in Argentina.
I just started to fly north and follow the coastline. I didn't take many screenshots because there wasn't really anything interesting. Just a half desert land you see above.
After about 1 hour I made a landing at Puerto Peseado airport.

A random intersection in the middle of nowhere.
The following mountain was an interesting one, Its Tres Picos mountain (1243m). Just a short range of hills but it was very random. It was situated in the middle of the incredibly flat land hundreds of kilometers on every side and then a mountain.
Of course I love flying above or next to mountains because I find it much more interesting than a flat landscapes.

The last flight of this part took me over Buenos Aires
... and the ending point in Montevideo in Uruguay. Love the nightlights.
Next up a short while over Uruguay then Brazil and then a long way over the ocean to Africa. Not promising a date when another part of the progress here happens. Depends on how much free time I will have but it seems I have it quite often in August. Stay tuned!
