Video games where it is better not to be an expert

When a player really likes a video game, he plays it so many times that he obtains as a result a remarkable growth in his experience and gameplay, reaching the point of becoming an expert, this in some games is essential to be able to compete against rivals, however, for some strange reason, some developers decide to implement in the programming of the title, certain parameters that harm in a certain way the gameplay in the most veterans, making that in some occasions the game is really unfair with the expert gamers.

One of the most common cases of the aforementioned can be seen in several games of the Mario Kart franchise, where every expert knows that he will receive a great punishment when he is in the first position, it is the blue shell, one of the most hated powers by many players. This object makes the game totally balanced, since inexperienced players will have the opportunity to position themselves in the first positions.

In addition, if you are in the last positions 80% of the time you will get the best items, unlike the first places where only defensive items come out, but not very powerful, this is when the game rewards the inexperienced players and punishing in a certain way to the more experienced ones, but this is not the only title that applies this method of difficulty, there is one that at some point without realizing it can also punish you for being very skilled

In Banjo Tooie there is a race in which in order to obtain a scroll and a piece of puzzle we must arrive in first place, in it we compete against Canary Mary, a bird that will give us many headaches, because it will almost always beat us in an impressive way. This happens because the player advances too many meters of the rival, causing the bird to stay far behind, at that moment Canary Mary activates a super speed and passes us quickly, to solve this it is best to simply stay very close to her and accelerate to the maximum when we are very close to the finish line.

Leaving the races aside, there are also other games that can punish us when they detect that you are an expert player, we can see this in God Hand. There is an interesting combat mechanic, which can be detailed when we eliminate several enemies in a row without being defeated, causing our level to rise to level 4, when this happens the enemies will be much more difficult, causing their damage to be much more dangerous.

It is here when the player's true abilities are put to the test, since in order to remain within the level 4 called "DIE" you must master the game in a masterful way. The curious thing is that this level does not increase the player's strength or speed statistics at any time, it is simply a difficulty meter that punishes the most expert players.

There are many other videogames that have this strange dynamic, where the inexperienced player is somehow rushed, but the experienced player is punished. If you know of another title that fits this theme, you can indicate it in the comments section and tell us about your experience.
