Part of World War II in one game, incredible scenes in this wonderful title

War and simulation games there are many, in large quantities, but none like Company of Heroes 2, a beautifully designed game by Relic and published for the year 2013 is the predecessor of the previous installment. I especially got to enjoy this game exactly 4 years ago, and it was on PC. I was completely in love and I have always been a fan of the second world war and its history, I am quite interested in knowing how it all went and I want to emphasize that I am not in favor of the war far from it, but I am shocked to see what happened there. That's why this kind of game attract me a lot, just like Medal of Honor, which I enjoyed a lot on PS2.

Basically in Company of Heroes 2, we are in the year of the second world war and are facing Russia and Germany, a game loaded with a lot of intensity and action thing that Relic accustomed us to all followers of this saga with the first installment, we are in the cold Russia, where a terrible war breaks out for the complete domination of the nations between Russians and Germans, we will live beautiful shows with this game, no truly feel inside the war and we must use much our intelligence and strategy, such as how to battle in the war, with a cold mind and ready to execute any necessary mission.

The story of the game is not really that relevant, since it doesn't change anything special, we are in a war for territories and by mandate, to see who commands more, that's all... Therefore, what I enjoyed the most was the experience and gameplay that the game offers, in one of the first missions we are facing the Nazis near Stalingrad, and we must make them retreat in order to gain ground, the environment of the game is a cold Russia, full of snow, many trees and forests and the characteristic frosty weather, one of the most important things we must do is learn to survive in the environment offered, we must deal with the cold by making campfires, something too important I would say. Our simple mission is to wipe out the Nazis.

Each scenario of Company of Heroes 2 makes us hallucinate, they are perfectly made and set to the time, also in the game, we do not have a vision at first sight or anything like that, the game is strategy, so we ourselves will dominate all nestro battalion of men and guide them step by step, basically, we will be the brains of the mission. I quite liked this style of gameplay offered by Relic as it would be normal to play as a high-ranking soldier, as in Medal of Honor. The vision offered is panoramic and we have many options for our troops, from what to do to where to go. Over time we will learn to take advantage of the environment offered, and it will be very important to cover ourselves with the typical sandbags.

The campaign mode of the game is one of the best things that Relic could have worked, we will go through the mission by mission and we will finally understand the history of everything, the missions offered are simply brutal, and the ambushes that we will do in some will make our heads explode, its difficulty is quite good and balanced, managing to be fun and not a headache. Relic followed the very good example left by their previous game of this saga, with great scenarios, and very good graphics. However, Company of Heroes 2 not only has the campaign mode, but we also have the multiplayer mode, and thanks to the campaign mode we will be able to practice and master the game to be very good in multiplayer mode. We will need to learn to master everything offered by the interface, as I tell you from experience .... It's NOT EASY at all Apart from the campaign mode we can also count on many in-game tutorials to perfect our tactics.

If we are old players of Company of Heroes, everything will be much easier for us.

In this game it is not enough to be slow and defensive, on the contrary, we must be fast and aggressive to be able to destabilize the rival and do things much earlier than them, since that is a very fundamental point in the war. Throughout the campaign mode we must try to reach all possible control points, with them we can have much more control of the area and take care of all our backs. It is also important that we create bases to recruit troops in case some of them die. Another very important thing is to defend our bases because obviously they will also be attacked, in short... We must have four eyes instead of two, that's what war is all about.

The game offers us pure strategy, that means we must think and be very smart if we want to win our battles, learn to use the environment and understand it is very important, we must be aware if they come armored trucks of the enemy put mines, burn houses, barns, barricades, and everything that serves to the enemy is entrenched, we must go carefully and not rush, we must find weak points to the opponent and attack him where it hurts, in short, it is a war of strategic.

Graphics and an interesting multiplayer mode

While the game is neither first nor third person, that does not mean that we have some crappy graphics, on the contrary, being a panoramic view we can enjoy a landscape and not lose anything that is happening around us, something that personally I enjoyed a lot and I certainly liked. Its explosion effects are quite realistic and it is also very important to emphasize that the game has physics, which means that all the houses, trenches, etc., etc.. They will break and degenerate as they receive explosions, crashes, shots or whatever. The game is quite well designed and does not have any errors or bugs, everything is clean and some of the game's cinematics are quite nice, its graphics engine is Essence 3.0 and that adds a touch of excellent professionalism.

It is a completely beautiful game!

Its multiplayer mode will make us spend quite a few good moments, and it will be very fun to play it, its theme is a Team vs Team of 4 players and the best team leaders will win, certainly a very interesting way to mention. We also have the possibility to play in cooperative mode against the bots, a help would come in handy, right? In short, I feel that the multiplayer mode is perfect to spend many hours of non-stop fun, and it is quite different from the campaign mode.

We also have at our disposal a great variety of challenges either to play between us or with friends.

My conclusion is that this game is a great imitation of what happened in the years 1940-1950, it is a beautiful game, we have beautiful and spectacular missions, we have at our disposal a battalion and the possibility of increasing it, even more, its wide variety of content is a plus because it will certainly be a game that will last a good few months installed on our PC, I'm sure of it. That's why I recommend it to anyone who wants to live a completely different experience to war games, and if you want to learn about war will also serve you!
