¡Buenas mis panas! ¡Perdonen la ausencia estos días! asuntos navideños y familiares me han hecho estar un poquito fuera de Hive últimamente, bueno prácticamente todo este año no he sido muy constante hahah, pero lo que importa hoy, es que tenemos una serie nueva que estaré cubriendo dentro de poco, con video y todo, similar a como llevo a Hotline Miami, primero, estaré cubriendo los capítulos y poco a poco iré detallando la historia, aunque para este caso Mafia, el aclamado titulo en su edición definitiva, tiene una historia un poco más parecida a una película que a un videojuego y sin embargo, tiene partes muy entretenidas que iremos viendo a medida que avance la trama, intentare no quedarme mucho tiempo explicando detalles, pero ya saben que esa misión nunca la cumplo hahah pero bueno, intentare ser breve mientras pueda, ¡Comencemos!

Christmas and family matters have made me be a little bit out of Hive lately, well practically all this year I haven't been very constant hahah, but what matters today, is that we have a new series that I will be covering soon, with video and everything, similar to how I'm covering Hotline Miami, first, I will be covering the chapters and little by little I will be detailing the story, although for this case Mafia, the acclaimed title in its definitive edition, has a story a little more similar to a movie than to a videogame and nevertheless, it has very entertaining parts that we will see as the plot progresses, I will try not to stay too long explaining details, but you know that mission I never fulfill hahah but well, I will try to be brief while I can, Let's begin!

Pocos son los juegos que podemos afirmar que han tenido un Remake que podemos considerar a la altura de las expectativas, en los años recientes muchas han sido las decepciones entre los lanzamientos fallidos y completos fracasos, hay algunos casos que si son salvables y que de hecho, pueden incluso superar a sus predecesores en términos de gráficos, actuaciones y jugabilidad, y uno de estos ejemplos, para mí, es Mafia Definitive Edition, titulo desarrollado por Hangar 13 y publicado por 2K Games, lanzado en 2020 y siendo para mi sorpresa, un juego que me hizo interesarme más por los tópicos que trata, como la crisis de los 30's la ley seca y claro, el ascenso del crimen organizado en Estados Unidos, encabezado principalmente por italianos residentes del país en aquellos años, sin embargo, lo que me gusta de este juego, es la combinación acertada entre historia, cinemáticas y mecánicas, estas ultimas bastante limitadas a pesar de la interesante trama, pero que cumplen para contar historias episódicas.
Few are the games that we can say that have had a Remake that we can consider up to expectations, in recent years there have been many disappointments between failed releases and complete failures, there are some cases that if they are salvageable and in fact, may even surpass its predecessors in terms of graphics, performances and gameplay, and one of these examples, for me, is Mafia Definitive Edition, title developed by Hangar 13 and published by 2K Games, released in 2020 and being to my surprise, a game that made me more interested in the topics it deals with, such as the crisis of the 30's, Prohibition and of course, the rise of organised crime in the United States, led mainly by Italians living in the country in those years, however, what I like about this game, is the right combination of story, cinematics and mechanics, the latter quite limited despite the interesting plot, but that meet to tell episodic stories.

Dos hombres se encuentran en un Bar, el primero identificándose como Thomas Angelo y el segundo como un detective de llamado Norman, ambos intercambian bastante dialogo, pero lo principal en lo que hay que enfocarse, es que el detective, esta asignado a liderar la investigación contra un importante mafioso llamado Morello, sobre el cual Ángelo deja caer que seguro el agente esta teniendo más de un problema para arrestarlo, Angelo asegura tener información que podría conducir a su arresto, pero a cambio pide protección para el y su familia, el Agente no le hace mucha gracia los comentarios de Ángelo, y asegura que solo podrá garantizarle algún trato de valor cuando vea la calidad de la información que tiene para el, Ángelo se ve inquieto por esto, y asumiendo que no tienes más opciones, procede a contar su historia...

Durante los primeros capítulos no tendremos mucho que hacer, más alla de hacer algunos recados y aprender a jugar, los controles son bastante sencillos y no es para nada complicado familiarizarse con todo, el gameplay es como una especie de GTA con la diferencia de que es un poco más "dificil" por no decir incomoda, la conducción no es algo que me agrado mucho en el juego, pero le da un toque de realismo el hecho de que los arranques no sean tan rápidos como uno se lo espera, ya que a pesar de todo, estamos hablando de vehículos de hace casi 100 años de antigüedad, pero de todas formas no se siente muy agradable, este capitulo es más que nada un introductorio a la historia y la conducción aprenderemos a utilizar obstáculos que nos servirán para despistar a la policía o a bandas rivales, así a navegar entre las carreteras de la ciudad, a pesar de ser el tutorial podemos fracasar, ya que estamos siendo perseguidos y no tendremos mucho marguen maniobra más que conducir y seguir llegar a los puntos que nos indique el mini mapa.

Después de huir de zona, evitar a más perseguidores y llegar a barrio italiano, Ángelo por fin lleva a sus clientes a su destino, uno de ellos durante la persecución menciona estar relacionados a los negocios turbios que se hacen en la ciudad, cosa que no agrada mucho a su compañero, que esta cauteloso de mencionar detalles ante un mero taxista, este mismo amenaza ligeramente a Ángelo de no revelar ningún tipo de información, estos piden ir a un Bar conocido como el Bar de Salieri, y nuestro protagonista los deja allí, uno de ellos, pide que espere antes de irse para recibir una compensación de el "Don" por lo que, Ángelo espera dentro del coche.

En una escena bastante tensa, Ángelo recibe un sobre con dinero, que viene de parte de uno de sus pasajeros y que viene de parte del "Don" como compensación por los servicios prestados y como señal de paz, asegura que el "Don" esta muy agradecido con sus servicios y le da una tarjeta de contacto, en caso de que necesité algún día trabajo, un favor o un préstamo, este lo deja partir por fin y se termina el capitulo, con un Ángelo muy dudosa ante la gran suma que le dieron tan solo por conducir y despistar a los mafiosos.
In a rather tense scene, Angelo receives an envelope with money from one of his passengers, which comes from the "Don" as compensation for his services and as a sign of peace, he assures him that the "Don" is very grateful for his services and gives him a contact card, in case he ever needs a job, a favour or a loan, he finally lets him go and the chapter ends, with Angelo very doubtful about the large sum he was given just for driving and misleading the gangsters.
¡Pronto tendremos más que comentar acerca de mafia! pero lo que tienen que saber es que el juego es bastante lento en un principio, pero se va poniendo cada vez mejor, me recuerda un poco a Max Payne pero Mafia brilla mucho por estar tan bien ambientada en la época, y por combinar bien su historia y varias misiones un poco estrafalarias en ocasiones pero entretenidas para jugar y ver, ¡Espero que les vaya a gustar esta nueva serie que pronto entregaré en video!
