Rfactor 2 is a computer racing simulator game, which was developed and released by Image Space Incorporated in 2012. Like the first edition of the game, Rfactor 2 can also be modified by specialist communities, as well as by professional teams such as international F1 and Nascar for training their drivers. Rfactor 2 was designed to simulate any type of vehicles and car categories in the world. It has very advanced physics which makes the experience with this simulator more entertaining. Like Rfactor Pro, Rfactor 2 was created with open source code, so that communities or companies could modify it at their convenience for their use or create new content for the game. The engine used by this simulator is isiMotor2, which is a software simulation engine used by professional teams such as F1 and NASCAR.
The physics of Rfactor 2 are one of the best in the simulator industry, due to the dynamic simulation of the cars, which is highly advanced and that is why it is preferred by real life motorsport teams, to test their car designs and to see the behavior they can have on the track, which makes it easier for the driver and engineers to have more data to improve the car if necessary. Due to all the above mentioned, this great game has a high difficulty, since both professional drivers and simracers (Virtual or Game Drivers), were not used to have this kind of simulators, which forced to have to take care of the tires, otherwise they would overheat or wear out too much, which in turn produces blockage in the tires and thus creates a flat spot with strong vibrations in the car, which causes an imbalance in the car and thus slow times are made.

What I can say about the playability of Rfactor2, is that being a simulator is designed to be played with a computer steering wheel, however there is the option of the keyboard, but the latter makes it very difficult to drive on the track. The game has available some aids such as traction control, stability control, anti-lock brakes and steering assist, as well as automatic gear shift and automatic clutch.the main menu of the game is created like other racing video games, where we have the option to choose the track where we want to run, with how many artificial intelligence drivers we want to compete and their level of driving and aggressiveness. in addition, there is the possibility to configure the race options, such as the number of laps to run, the rules of flags and weather conditions. Once the aforementioned is loaded and we are in the sessions such as free practice, qualifying and race, we have the opportunity to configure details in the cars to have the best sensations on the track, this is done in the garage option.

Rfactor 2 has two types of cars, one with open wheels which are formula cars and other sports or production cars. There is the possibility to download Formula One cars and Mods , GT cars, touring cars, stock cars and vans . There are also quads and Formula RC cars. The circuits available in the game are many, mostly from the most important categories or series of the world motorsport, such as Nascar ovals, permanent circuits, rally tracks and even street tracks, such as Monaco F1.

As for the graphics I can tell you that the game is great, one of the best I've seen in this kind of simulators. The modeling of the cars of the different categories and mods, are extremely great, very similar to reality which makes players have a good experience and image that they are really running a competition of the best series in terms of motorsport in the world is concerned. Another of the things that really impressed me are the visual effects, the smoke coming out of the tires in a spin or a skid, in sudden braking and the marks left on the asphalt, the visualization of the debris or debris left on the track during crashes, among many other things, the game is really good. The lighting and the reflection of the cars, is very well done and very similar to reality. The tracks are also excellent, very similar to reality and the best thing is that the textures of the objects that make up the track look pretty good, in addition to details such as trees and the public in the stands of the circuits. What is important to emphasize is that this game is very demanding in terms of system requirements for the proper functioning of the same. The interface is very well worked so I was quite satisfied. This is one of the games of the genre of sports racing that I liked its graphic section, is among my top 2 along with iracing, the truth that both look amazing.
Like the previous section, the sound is also well highlighted. The best thing is that each mod comes with its own sound package depending on the category and types of cars we are playing, the roar of the engines is impressive, as well as the variety in the styles of the different sounds, depending on the brand of cars we are using. We also hear some ambient sound. Then we have the sound effects that are not left behind and the developers did a very good job, as we hear sounds of the impact of the carreroseria in the crashes, the squealing of the tires in the braking and skidding of the cars, among other things. The game also has the track engineer or spotter, that will depend on the category we are playing, which will give us important information such as the state of the track and the car, the flags on the track, the setting if we are doing something wrong that will bring us a penalty, when there is an accident and in what sector is happening, among many other things we should know. In this aspect the game is outstanding.
In Conclusion, I can tell you that the game Rfactor 2 is a great racing simulator, not only for those people who like to play, but as it is a well developed game is used by teams, engineers and drivers in the field of Motor Sport world of real life, to practice on different circuits and thus to see the sensations with the car. This simulator is very useful for engineers who are in charge of the development of cars because this simulator allows them to test before taking the car to the track and thus have data. As a normal person, it is a very good game, although very difficult, but it is still the best in sports racing simulation that we can find in the market and the best thing is that we have available the best categories in the world in motorsport, the most famous in a single game.
