When the Batman Arkham saga came into our lives in August 2009, we knew that a whole new generation of video games of the DC franchise would come and that they would get better and better. And we saw that in evidence with the excellent titles that Rocksteady Studios brought us such as Arkham Asylum, Arkham City and Arkham Knight.
And although since 2015 Rocksteady Studios had paused the production of games for DC, recently jumped onto the scene a new mind-blowing, spectacular and mind-blowing game called Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League. A video game focused on the Suicide Squad and their intervention in an alien invasion and their fight against the Justice League. This marvelous work of art is scheduled for release in 2022 and will be available for PlayStation 5, Xbox X Series X|S, Xbox One and Windows platforms.
Although this video game had already been announced in August last year, it was a few days ago when we finally saw a trailer where it was explained in more detail what the game that is currently in development consists of.
Plot
First of all, this trailer presents the Suicide Squad in Metropolis but converted into a post-apocalyptic city where they fight with humans transformed into monsters just like in the first Suicide Squad movie. Who is behind this invasion is Brainiac who has come to earth and has controlled controlling the minds of all people, again this argument is something similar to what was seen in the recent James Gunn's Suicide Squad movie, in fact even appear 4 of the characters of the film that are also the protagonists of the new video game, which are:
Harley Quinn.
Dead shot.
King Shark.
Captain Boomerang.
In the video game, Amanda Waller again brings together these 4 antiheroes to stop the threat that Brainiac is presenting, the story is the same as in the movies to stop the threat and those who resist will have their heads blown off with a micro bomb that is implanted in the back of their necks.
Something that I found very interesting about this game is that besides facing the main villain and doing the dirty work of the government, it will include that you must fight against the justice league that is also controlled by Brainiac, how Brainiac finally could control the powerful members of the league will be explained in the story of the video game, but I think that maybe it was like when Starro managed to control the league one by one.
Watching the game trailer closely I noticed that it is a combination of Injustice and the Suicide Squad movies, even Amanda Waller's character looks a lot like the Jedi guide in Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order.
Another thing I noticed from the trailer is that the characters will have to fight to survive against the invasion, against their ideals and the dangerous justice league.
In conclusion, we will have to wait for more details of the game in an upcoming trailer, but I am very sure of one thing and that is that Rocksteady has never failed when it comes to making a good video game and has demonstrated it very well with the Arkham saga. Also in this type of game, it follows the same line of Injustice, where the heroes give in to the madness and become the main villains again.
There are still less than 3 months to 2022 so, likely, we will soon see a concrete date and more trailers that delve into the story. And will you be playing this bizarre version of Justice League?

Cuando la saga de Batman Arkham llego a nuestras vidas en agosto del 2009, sabíamos que toda una nueva generación de videojuegos de la franquicia DC vendría y que serían cada vez mejor. Y eso lo vimos en evidencia con los excelentes títulos que Rocksteady Studios nos trajo como Arkham Asylum, Arkham city y Arkham Knight.
Y aunque desde el 2015 Rocksteady Studios había pausado la producción de juegos para DC, recientemente salto a la escena un nuevo juego alucinante, espectacular y que vuela nuestras mentes llamado Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League. Un videojuego enfocado en el escuadron suicida y su intervención en una invasión alienígena y su pelea contra la liga de la justicia. Esta maravilla obra de arte tiene previsto lanzarse para 2022 y estará disponible para las plataformas PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One y Windows.
Aunque ya se había anunciado este videojuego desde agosto del año pasado fue hace unos días cuando finalmente se vio un tráiler donde se explicaba más a detalle en que consistía el juego que actualmente está en desarrollo.
Argumento
De entrada este tráiler nos presenta al equipo suicida en una ciudad post apocalíptica donde pelean con seres humanos transformados en monstruos tal como la primera película del escuadrón suicida. Quien esta detrás de esta invasión es Brainiac que ha llegado a la tierra y ha controlado controlando las mentes de todas las personas, de nuevo este argumento es algo un similar en lo que se vio en la reciente película del escuadrón suicida de James Gunn, de hecho hasta aparecen 4 de los personajes de la película que también son los protagonistas del nuevo videojuego, que son:
Harley Quinn.
Dead shot.
King Shark.
Capitán Bumerang.
En el videojuego Amanda Waller de nuevo reúne a estos 4 antihéroes para detener la amenaza que está presentando Brainiac, la historia es la misma de las películas detener la amenaza y a los que se resisten se les vuela la cabeza con un micro bomba que se les implanta por la nuca.
Algo que me resulto muy interesante de este juego es que además de enfrentarse contra el villano principal y hacer el trabajo sucio del gobierno, se incluirá que debes pelear contra la liga de la justicia que también están controlados por Brainiac, el cómo Brainiac finalmente los pudo controlar a miembros poderosos de la liga se explicara en la historia del videojuego, pero pienso que tal vez fue como cuando Starro logro controlar a la liga uno por uno.
Observando el tráiler del juego detenidamente note que es una combinación de Injustice y las películas del escuadrón suicida, incluso también el personaje de Amanda waller se parece mucho a la jedi guía en Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order.
Otra cosa que pude notar del tráiler es que los personajes tendrán que luchar para sobrevivir contra la invasión, contra de sus propios ideales y en contra de la peligrosa liga de la justicia.
En conclusión, habrá que esperar más detalles del juego en un próximo tráiler, pero de algo estoy muy seguro y es que Rocksteady nunca ha fallado a la hora de hacer un buen videojuego y lo ha demostrado muy bien con la saga arkham. Además en este tipo de juegos sigue la misma línea de Injustice, donde los héroes ceden a la locura y se vuelven a convierten en los villanos principales.
Aún faltan menos de 3 meses para el 2022 así que es probable que pronto veamos una fecha concreta y más tráiler que honden en la historia. Y tu jugaras esta versión bizarra de la liga de la justicia?
