dCrops Update - Quest Reward changes, Buying Reward Chests, Withdraw Beta packs to Hive-Engine and more

Changes to Quest Rewards

Quests are one of the 3 core play2earn systems that are in place in the dCrops ecosystem. Every season, you get a set of 7 random tasks and upon completing these tasks, you get rewarded with a reward chest that contains boosters as well as NFTs.

After some consideration and some community feedback, the quest rewards will undergo some changes starting from this season onwards.

The changes are as follows:

  1. The limits on the size of your reward chest will be removed completely. It has come to our attention that players are creating multiple accounts just to take advantage of the current system. So this change hopes to eliminate the need for having multiple accounts. Also, the previous limits reduced the incentive to hold more than 1 million CROP Power and this change also aim to remove that limitation.

  2. The tiered system of getting additional items inside your chests has been changed and a flat rate is now applied. In addition to the base 10 items, for every 15,000 CROP Power, you will get an additional item in your reward chests.

Note: The above 2 changes will not be applicable to chests that have already been claimed and are stored in your inventory.

  1. The drop rates for Gold Ore and Iron Ore have been increased to 3% and 7% respectively. However, the probability to get NFTs has not been changed and is still at 25%.

Buying Chests with $CROP

One big change that will provide more utility to CROP tokens is that you will be able to buy Reward Chest++ for 750 CROP. These will have 5 random booster items/NFTs inside them and will have the same drop rates as your regular reward chests.

Thus if a new player is having a hard time to get the necessary NFTs to craft equipments, they now have the option to try their luck by buying chests or alternatively they can buy those materials from other players.

They are available on the dCrops website on the booster section in the shop page.

Withdrawing BETA packs to Hive-Engine

Withdrawing and depositing BETA packs to and from Hive-Engine has now been enabled. You can access this function by clicking on your balance tab at the header or through the dashboard.

On Hive-Engine, these packs will be listed as DCBETA.

Withdrawing Referral Balances

In case you didn't know, dCrops has an affiliate system where you can earn 5% commission on every pack purchase through our shop except for purchased made using CROP tokens.

Please note that only users who log into the game for the first time through your affiliate link are considered to be your referral. Moreover, we also have a cookie system that will keep track of visits to the website through your referral link for up to 24 hours. So if a player uses your link but doesn't log in immediately, if they login within the next 24 hours they will still be your referral.

Withdrawing these balances has now been enabled and all missing referral balances have now been added.
