Three Tune Tuesday with some fun rock 'n' roll / Re-blog lottery

generated with ideogram.ai

Three Tune Tuesday is here again! So yet again it is time to rack my brain for some fun songs that I haven't heard in awhile. Today I was in more of a hard rock kind of mood. I very nearly started pulling out some great songs from modern bands, but I got sucked back to the 1980's. Well, for the most part anyway. I blame Back To The Future.....

It's always tough to make everyone happy every Tuesday, but it sure is fun trying! @silverd510 didn't like my last week's picks, lets see what you think today!

To start off the fun we have to travel back to the year 1969 when the band Judas Priest was formed in Birmingham, England. In 1973 they picked up their lead singer Rob Halford and the rest was history. They struggled until they released their 1980 album British Steel. They had hit after hit through out the 80's and were inducted into the Rock Hall of Fame last year. Here's their song "Living After Midnight":

This second song comes from a tribute concert to the late Taylor Hawkins who sadly passed away last year while on tour with the Foo Fighters in Bogota, Colombia. He was an accomplished drummer with the Foo Fighters as well as a solo artist. May he rest in peace.

For this concert they brought in some special talent. Dave Grohl (Foo Fighter's lead singer) on bass, Josh Freese on drums, Justin Hawkins (from band The Darkness) on vocals and none other than Wolfgang Van Halen (son of the late great Eddie Van Halen) on guitar. Wolfgang really proves just how good he is as a guitarist here, sounding just as good as his father! I always thought it was a shame that Van Halen disbanded when Eddie died, they should have just let Wolfgang take his dad's place.

Tigertailz are a band from wales, UK forming in 1985. I had honestly pretty much forgotten about their existence until I watched the series "Peacemaker" starring John Cena playing the world's worst superhero (funny series if you missed it.) This band was bringing up the tail end (no pun intented) of the glam rock era with their hit "Love Bomb Baby" in 1990. Pretty much right before Nirvana put it to an end to glam rock altogether! They have some really big hair in this video, and a good song too!

That pretty much wraps up my songs for TTT, thanks to @blaze for sponsoring the weekly event! I hope you enjoyed them, I had a lot of fun throwing it all together!
